ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE
Don't Miss The Boat!
Boarding
Our sailing time is 5PM. Boarding will start at 12PM on Monday, January 27, 2014. Due to new government regulations requiring cruise lines to submit final departure manifests at least 60 minutes prior to sailing, guests are requested to complete Online Check-in no later than 3 days prior to their cruise. If you do not complete Online Check-in 3 days prior, you will be required to complete this process at the pier at least two hours prior to the sailing time. Please note: All guests MUST be checked-in and onboard the ship no later than 90 minutes prior to the published sailing time or you will not be permitted to sail. In other words, you have to be on the ship by 3.30PM. Once more: The last thing you want, is to miss the boat!
Debarkation
Debarkation will start before 8AM on Friday, January 31, 2014. Since the ship will leave for another cruise the same day, the ship's crew is keen on getting everyone off the boat as early as possible in order to prepare it for the next cruise. Unfortunately you cannot sleep in that day. If scheduling flights from Miami International Airport for the day the ship returns, we recommend to do so after 12:30PM to allow enough time to get off the ship and pass through customs. If flying from Ft. Lauderdale International Airport please schedule flights after 1:30PM. This is our recommendation; please book your flights at your own risk!
Port of Miami
The Port of Miami is among America’s busiest ports and recognized throughout the world with the dual distinction of being the Cruise Capital of the World and the Cargo Gateway of the Americas.
Parking Information
The guest parking areas are located adjacent to the piers. Depending on pier location, there are multi-level garages or, flat open-air lots. Parking garages accept cash, Visa or Master Card. Flat level lots are cash only. The fees are $20 per day for regular size vehicles. Rates vary for oversized vehicles. For more information visit the website of the Port of Miami: www.miamidade.gov/portmiami/parking-transportation.asp
The Seaport also offers a Shuttle Service for cruise passengers, one of
which is wheelchair accessible. The Shuttle will pick you up at the
Parking Garage/Lot and take you to the appropriate Cruise Terminal
location. The Port of Miami prides itself on their customer service and
visitor's safety. If you need any further help please feel free to
contact the Port of Miami at: portofmiami@miamidade.gov
Taxi Service
The taxi fare between Miami International Airport and the Port of Miami is currently a flat rate of $24 and between Miami International Airport and South Beach it is currently a flat rate of $32. For other destinations, the cab fare is $2.40 upon entering the taxi and $2.40 per mile thereafter. All taxi fares are plus gratuities. A little note for our International Guests: It is customary to pay the driver 15-20% gratuity on top of the cab fare. Taxi drivers don't make a lot of money, they actually really depend on the gratuities to make a living. All rates mentioned above are subject to change without notice at any time.
Rental Cars
Several car rental agencies are permitted to do business at the seaport. Each agency provides courtesy shuttle service to their locations off the port. We suggest you contact your preferred company directly for the most up-to-date information.
