    heavy metal art

    by STACH100 » Sat Jan 08, 2011 6:51 pm

I have been doing airbrushed paintings to bring on the cruise, hopefully to have the bands sign them.
Here are the first five. I look forward to seeing you all on the ship!

Should be no problem according to the cruise people.
These paintings are on canvas so I have to take them off of the wooden frame, or they would
be too bulky to carry on the plane.
I plan to do a total of 8 but I am running out of time.

I am listed in the "Thank Yous" on their new CD Ironbound
I airbrushed 2 guitars for Derek Tailer, he was kind enough to mention me.

It wasn't random. I noticed that DragonLordJones is from Mayville, Wi.
That is only about 60 miles from me. I have been there many times.
I am also curious if DLJ goes to metal shows at THE Rave in Mlwaukee.
I have seen many of the bands on the Cruise there.

They probably could've commissioned you for some artwork if you had shown yourself awhile back. There's always the DVD I suppose

no i've never been to the rave ..... was gonna see forbidden there for thanksgiving but things changed and didn't get to go. May go for Motorhead in Feb. though.

    few questions
1 what size do you normally work? (18" X 24") guessing
2 how long does it take you to do an average print?
3 do you sell them or are they just self collectibles? (I believe someone asked this already)

on a side note: I've only been in Mayville for about 6 years (worked here for 16) I'm originally from Beaver Dam, WI  :givebeer:

    and again awesome work

The size I usually paint is 16x20 so you were close.
These are all for my private collection.
But I have done commissioned work.

    I didn't even think about a 70,000 Tons painting.
And as I have been busy painting Harleys I put off the paintings I'm doing now.
So now it is scramble time.
I will post a couple of more soon, I just finished Sodom! :death:

Awesome paintings indeed! I wish I hadn't lost interest in art when I was younger. But thats ok, grabbing a guitar made that up.

Here are some of my art. Nothing as awesome as STACH100, but thought I'd share.
