    Pentagram tour

by TOM CRUISE » Fri Mar 26, 2010 6:25 pm

Is hitting Seattle tonight. I guess the tour just started and there is trouble within the band

Russ the guitarist quit the band 2 days into the tour and the show in San Francisco was disaster filled.

It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that I find myself having to walk away from Pentagram. Due to communication breakdowns and inner band issues, I had to make this very difficult decision.

I want to send out my heartfelt apologies to the fans who have supported me since the beginning of this endeavor.

There is a time in one’s life when principles, honesty, trust and respect come into play. I’m not willing to compromise my values and love of playing music.

I put 200% of myself into this project and have learned many lessons along the way. I would like to thank Bobby Liebling and Pentagram for the opportunities they have given me but at this point in the game, there is no way of continuing on with this project.

True fans of Pentagram, who know the history of the band, will understand the ongoing internal turmoil that has haunted this band from it’s inception & I refuse to air dirty laundry to the public.

I would like to thank the following people for their tireless efforts and patience:
    Joey Lyons
    Dan Rozenblum
    Trouble
    Jarrod
    The Gates of Slumber
    Syrach
    Nachtmystium
    Victor Griffin
    Cartel Brown
and all of the clubs that I had the pleasure of performing at.

This by no means is the end of my musical endeavors. I hope to see you all again very soon.

    Peace, Love and DOOM,
    Russ Strahan

:( :( :( Great band. Saw them at Hole in the Sky last summer and they are booked for Maryland Deathfest. Oh well, I hope tonight goes off without a hitch because I am ready for some good old fashioned DOOM!

    DOOM ON!

Well it was a fun night. There were some good opening bands. Pentagram were disappointing. They played 3 classic songs and then broke into a 24 minute blues jam with covers by the doors and zz top (la grange). They better get their shit together for Maryland Deathfest.

Sorry to hear that man. Fine bands to cover in the right situation but no doubt NOT what you or others were hoping for.
So far at least, 2011, 2012 & 2015 were enough for me

Sorry to hear that man.Thats complete bullshit.
I hate when bands fuck around like that knowing very well people have paid money to see them play their own stuff.

aye right. except if it was like Dream Theater and instead of playing originals, they performed "Masters of Puppets, Number of the Beast or Dark Side of the Moon" in its entirety.

There are rules to being a professional band.
And that is no more than one cover at any gig.

    No truer words spoken.
An exception would be a several minute medley of several songs, tops.

There is always an exception to most rules, of course.

I was at the Dream Theater show where they played the master of puppets album in Chicago. It was kind of disapointing at the time, did'nt know they were recording it til it came out on cd.
