Armor Column - Thrash with the old school style vocals. Noah Carpenter who was in Skinless is one of the guitarists. High pitched screams kinda get to me after a while, but musically they're solid.

The Vektor cd is very good - I had an idea they would get a mention here at some stage.
I had to look twice at the Armor Column cover, it looked very similar to Nuclear Assault artwork and I'd hazard a guess that they have listened to the Nukes a few times

Met the guys at Metalcamp and they gave me their CD "Necrotica". If anything, they sound a lot like Septicflesh, which of course is a good thing.

I keep giving them more chances, cause they have a bit that I like the sound of... but I get bored and have to change it every song... the monotony of blast beats and vocals just lose my interest
even their cover of Blinded By Fear lost my interest.... and I fucking love that song

They're a one-trick pony it would seem, but the added production on the brand new tracks is certainly a step up from the older stuff. I really like the symphonic backing, and the sheer intensity. Guitar and bass playing is pretty good too, and I don't think I've ever heard blasting like in their new track with the video!

Also if there's some interplay between clean and dirty vox I like that stuff. I just want to avoid the verse-chorus-verse-chorus-solo-chorus style DM if you please. For example Vader, while they are pretty decent, just kind of bore me.

Jake, I know Kevin might bash this, but Decrepit Birth's last two albums tread the line nicely between being brutal and also melodic at the same time. Vocals are pretty generic Death Metal stuff, but the music more than makes up for it.

Awesome, the view of the back of the album with all the liner notes was the best part! Music was pretty great. Can't get enough of the Conan-inspired heavy!

based on what you just wrote, I really REALLY think you might dig Julie Laughs Nomore (I get nothing for pimping that band, they're broken up, I just think they're amazing and fit that description)
