For the tent stage you can stand to the side in the beer area and watch through the fence.

The fourth stage I never went to

Yeah, it was a bit harsh for a beer drinker at HoM...

Some festival organizers are smarter than others. At Getaway you can also comfortably see the shows from the bar, but it's quite annoying if you want to be close. I remember when I went to Arvika, the bar was miles away from the stages

That's lame. I've been to a couple of venues in the States that had separate drinking areas and one festival that had a beer garden but it was well within a good viewing point of the stage. But like Rhia said, those are pretty rare in the US

The place where most of the bands I like play here has the bar aread separate, though it's small enough you can see pretty decently

I'll want to check out probably:

almost the same as gnoffi's with just 4 more must-sees. guess he'll be drinking/freaking out during those times.

I would check out the Man Eating Tree because it's the former drummer of Sentenced's band

Yeah, a friend of mine writes for that zine too, so I think it's a pretty solid rumor. :beerwink:

As for the weather, I think the average temp for July is around 18 C - and that's low because in the nighttime the temp is about 15 degrees or so. July highs are mostly above 20 and even above 30. Temp over 30 makes Tuska a painful festival (tuska = pain, agony).

That sounds pretty sweet to me :D

    Yeah, we do. :givebeer:

The strict laws are ridiculous. Even if we have those, we still drink more than even Russians per capita. And the solution is always to raise the price of booze which leads to people going to Estonia and buy their booze there (as you can bring as much booze as you like from another EU country). Half a liter of vodka costs about 12 euros in Finland and 5 euros in Estonia. With the ferry tickets for a day-trip costing 10-20 euros, it's quite clear a heavy drinker (like all Finns for example  ) will save lots by going to Tallinn.
And while in Tallinn, a meal at a restaurant costs about 2/3 of the prices in Helsinki.

That would be wise. And, Tallinn is quite a nice city. I like it there and visit Tallinn quite often - sometimes don't even bring any booze back home.
A weekend trip to Tallinn (ferry on Saturday morning, a night in a hotel and on a ferry back on Sunday afternoon) costs around 50 euros per person, so we've spent lots of weekends in Tallinn. Heck, they even have a bar that only plays Depeche Mode there!

I think so, too. Though it doesn't look like the jams you have here, it has the little balls in it and is more jellyish.

    No bands!!??

I'd probably go see Entombed, but they play in Copenhagen on the 11th of May, so I'm not really interested in seeing them again a week later. I probably would see Taake too, but that's about it.

As everybody talks about them, I'm listening to them right now. And ok, they are not too bad ;)

Yeah, there are few bands I'd like to see, but then again, most of those I've seen plenty of times already or will see on other festivals or in some of the clubs in Helsinki. Entombed is great live, but I've seen them at least ten times already. And I'm not that big on The Crown.
