My review..
The album starts with "Rise Up", killer tune ,everything you would expect from Testament!
A great start, now comes "Naitive Blood" another great song I am typing as I listen I am so comfortable with these songs
it is as if I have had this album for years. The title song plays next, slow melodic beginning...classic Chuck Billy vocals, song builds....
picks up and grinds when the chorus begins, but then slows, like older slower Testament songs. It is ok but first 2 songs are better.
But wait near the end The cranking begins! Saves the song.4th song True American Hate, anyone who cares has already heard it.
5th song "A day In The Death" starts with killer bass, great grove grinding guitars, lovin it.Alex and Eric are on their game!Song 6 Cold Embrace, begins acoustic...I wish bands would not do this, it seems they want to show that they can play nice, fuck that. They crash in about 1:40 but go back to the slow. I will be skipping this song.About 4:02 it rocks a bit but not enough to save the song. Next is "Man Kills Mankind" Hell yeah starts rocking from the beginning, makes you forget the last song.
Shades of the Ritual! Next "Throne of Thorns" another acoustic beginning...slow build...ahh never fear it was just a tease, this song rocks.Iron Maiden fans will love the Skolnick/Peterson play in this song."Last Stand For Independance" is next.
Starts out flaming! Fast pace, bringing your blood pressure to the top.
"Dragon Attack" starts out with killer drums then mixes in raging guitars, pace is like Motorhead, wow killer tune! The last half is all Alex And Eric! Bonus track "Animal Magnetism" is next..nice cover but I didn't like the Scorps so... Next "Powerslave" Bonus track I hope Iron Maiden likes it as much as I do.
Over all I rate this a must for any Testament fan and for you disbelievers as well!
