Currently they said they're trying to get 500 more capacity for the Thursday show to sell more tickets instead of having them play a second set. Boo.

Bolt Thrower is cool, but I got wind that they're playing Portland...Benediction is supposed to as well I guess. Still, I'm looking forward to seeing both of those. Also Carpathian Forest and Manilla Road playing this is just plain badass.

Laura- I have been meaning to ask.. I see you have europe in your future in your signature. I have been contemplating Norway again. The Bunker II festival in Oslo the 3rd week of August with Aura Noir, Destroyer 666, and others. 14 bands total over 3 nights. Then taking the train to Bergen for the festival the following weekend (same weekend HITS used to be) and its at the Garage and called "Beyond the Gates" , some really great bands playing that. Doom band Solstice from the UK and Bulldozer from Italy among others. I hope I can swing it. I am thinking of taking Eric there for his 40th birthday which is August 6th. :) I have a place to stay just outside Oslo with my friends Mike and Linda and am expecting a call from Mike tomorrow...to discuss the fests...

Hey Scott! Just saw this now. Thanks for mentioning this fest - of course, I'd LOVE to go back to Norway and Europe in general (going through some major European withdrawal since I didn't going last year

)....but I plan to go at the earliest again in 2014 and would love to try Metaldays or the Wacken Cruise 2014....kinda depends on what happens re Barge 2014 and a few other things. Thanks for mentioning Bunker II though. Sounds like a great 40 birthday trip for Eric!! I've mentioned it a few places elsewhere...but our older daughter is turning 16 this year and I will take her on a special mom-daughter trip to NYC - so, it works out that it is a sort of "me" trip since I love Broadway type musicals and the Met, among so many other things NY has to offer - and I know she will too!! I think it is important to celebrate special birthdays in a big way and in grand fashion!

I missed them at Hole in the Sky, but saw them last year at that Cathedral of the Black Goat Black Metal Fest - and they def were the highlight for me....and the local crowd went nuts for them! Granted - they have a very repetitive, stripped-down & rough hewn kind of sound, but it is very appealing to my brain (on some odd level I suppose), plus, I enjoyed their stage presence as well. Archgoat at HITS struck me the same way.
