Also would love to go to this to see Rotting Christ in particular for the first time (have seen Belphegor a few times & enjoy well enough; am not familiar with Svart Crown)...but if I did that gig...it would be 6 nights straight (2 nights Cold Waves Industrial fest, Black Keys, this Rotting Christ et al gig, Uncle Acid, & Within Temptation. I think that would be a bit much! (Yeah - major first world/big gig city problems - ha). Wish this gig was in November! Well, I'm not ruling it out yet...maybe I'll end up going.

Re the GWAR tour...am not really a fan but will check them out at RIot Fest nonetheless if there are no conflicts. I saw them at Wacken in 2009...and I guess I just don't share the same enthusiasm for their schtick as many seem to. *shrugs*

Yeah, I saw your list of upcoming gigs... First World Problems?

I'm insanely jealous of your playlist. Makes me rethink the decision I had last summer not to move to Chicago. I'm thinking of taking a weekend to Toronto this fall to make it to Eluveitie/Tyr one night and then King Diamond the next, though. It's just a bus trip and a hotel. It's only more money...

But on the bright side of things, even MY city has a bunch of good acts this fall! We're getting Allegaeon, Deicide, even Judas Priest. I already have tix to the first two but have to sort out the rest of the fall, but I still have to buy plane tix for the cruise and sort out Maryland Deathfest. So much stuff going on now!

That's why it got cancelled? I call shenanigan level bullshit, bloody Machine Head. Hopefully they try turning it into a Bodom headline and just continue on with the tour anyways.

Bodom said they are going to work on material for a new album. Not sure on Epica. I'm guessing they just stay home. I heard that Battlecross is trying to pick up shows in the cities the tour was scheduled in.
