With the reservation, no problem, but you must wait sometimes a long time because many people takes the shuttle

What times do the headliners finish ? 2 am ? So 2:30 am is a good time to reserve one for return ?

2 Am, the reservation was before so no problem

Also, is there a train or bus that goes to Clisson during day for traveling to the fest ? Or is that very far from the hotel I am at ?

There is train but the best is to rent a car if it's possible for you (with a GPS)

Craig- Right on, how can you pass up this awesome line up !!! Between my Iron Maiden Fan Club family going and cruise family going its going to be a great time !

Eric is going for sure now. And we are going to fly into Paris on Thursday the 19th of June. Rent a car at the airport and then drive straight to Clisson to get our wristband for entrance (save long wait in line Friday) and then drive back to the Bed and Breakfast were staying at and check in and settle. :D

Need to get some beer and wine somewhere too, so I can enjoy myself :D

I went with the Escale Oceania at the airport as planned. $560 for 4 nights (incl breakfast). This works perfect for us since we are flying directly in and out of Nantes by way of Amsterdam.

I would like to go to the restaurant but I do not have a job and so it really depends on if Eric wants to go or not. That restaurant is the most expensive restaurant I have ever seen before. I know its good but, it is very expensive. When I was in Norway in 2010 I was on a limited budget and did not drink and ate 1 time each day and that was a $7 polish sausage. I was on a very tight budget and ran out of money on my last day there and so I starved to death until I got on the plane and they fed me. :D

So... should we have a Hellfest 2014 get together on the boat? I've never done 70 000 tons of metal before so I can't really say when and where. So can anyone make a suggestion?
    I might be a 70000 tons newbie but I'm not a Hellfest newbie :)

There is always a big meetup of forum folks on the bow of the boat right after the muster drill. we can meet there. Be sure not to miss it though, it has definitely become a tradition and is a great way to start the cruise!

    That lineup is absolutely amazing.

Noone I know would be up for that and I am not bold enough to venture to Europe on my own for something like this between the expense and mostly the logistics, not a savy traveler, but I would love to go. I am a CPA and unfortunately will never be able to make a January cruise so I cant do the 70,000 Tons cruise but Hellfest sounds incredible. Those who can make it are lucky campers.

Ok I got Eric's 3 day pass. He could not get any of his credit cards to work on the digitix site. So we have passes and a quaint bed and breakfast reserved. Will be getting air tickets when I'm in miami for cruise. It's $48 USD cheaper to fly into Paris. Then you have to drive 3 1/2 hours and petrol is very expensive in France. Also, there are tolls you have to pay from Paris to. Nantes. It's more convenient flying into Nantes. Looking at a flight on air France now that arrives to Nantes on Thursday the 19th on June at 13:50 in the afternoon. At same time we book flights,we will book a car for pick up at airport in Nantes. It's about $173 for the entire time. So hopefully, arriving at that time on Thursday will give us enough time to go to Clisson and festival site and pick up our Wristbands. The two passes are both under my name. I hope that is not a problem. After getting wristbands we will eat dinner in Clisson. Before heading back to he farm where we are staying. :heavydrink:

Ok no problem, but rent your car quickly because it is a small airport.

about the 2 passes under your name, no idea if it is a problem or not, They don't ask identity card so it should be ok (I hope)

I'm definitely going to one of euro fests this summer and so far nothing comes close to Hellfest lineup :headbanger:
Gotta really work out the logistics though, haven't been to Europe for quite a while.

okay, our Pre-cruise Key West adventures and the cruise itself were a blast, now BRING ON JUNE AND HELLFEST!

looks like the HF lineup filled up while we were cruising. The website is complete now too.

Emma, Scott and Eric, I didn't see you guys much at all on the boat, Emma is tiny so she can hide easily, but how did I miss you other two so much???

Yes it looks like they still have 4 or 5 bands left to announce still. I have no idea how we missed each other on the cruise ! I saw Rhia and Sam ONCE. Steve Fellows and Hector - NOT AT ALL......... Saw Emma tons. What a sweetheart. :) And met Jean-Michel briefly. His cabin was two down for Eric and I...
I still do not have my airfare. But I plan to get it soon
Oh and 3 day passes are SOLD OUT and Saturday single tickets are SOLD OUT

I thaught I would see you guys more as well, but I have a problem with seeing people in a crowd both to hight (or lack of it...) and beer ( but it was mostly drinks...)
We will hopefully have alot of time in the grass at Hellfest :)
When we get closer to June we'll have some sort of meet up plan :) Maybe even have a car caravan from the airport for those going by car from Paris

The steward at my flight from Miami - Paris stopped me and was very happy that I had a Hellfest t-shirt. He has been going there since the beginning. Nice to know I even had a metal head taking care of me while flying :)

We get into Nantes about 11:20 so we'll beat you to the wrist band line Scott. We'll probably check out the little castle in Clisson afterwards.

Can't wait for this. The line-up is insane. I'm flying from Billund, Denmark to Amsterdam and then to Nantes Thursday where I'll take a train or shuttle bus or whatever there is to get to the festival site.
    "Vi kæmper kun for øl
    Vi kæmper kun for øl
Vi kæmper kun for øl og for penge
Og hvis vi ingen penge får
    Og ingen øl ligeså
Så må i kæmpe kampen uden os!"
    Skål!

so you're going too Craig!? cool, we haven't seen each other since the first 70K! what flight/time are you taking Amsterdam-Nantes? We may be on the same flight, and if that is the case you are free to join me and my Kid in our rental car for the drive to Clisson.
