    Heavy Montreal

    by Gandalf » Wed Mar 05, 2014 1:50 am

Probably the best metal fest in North America!
    https://scontent-b-dfw.xx.fbcdn.net/hph ... 9030_n.jpg

Metallica will be playing their one and only North American performance of 2014 at HEAVY MONTRÉAL. Not only will fans get to rock out to one of the greatest bands of all time, they’ll get to choose the setlist as well! HEAVY MONTRÉAL pass purchasers will receive a unique code to vote for the songs they want to hear Metallica play via Metallica’s website.

Would love to fly over to Canada, but that lineup is bad. Cynic and Epica are the only ones I'd want to see.

There is a very small chance I might be able to pull it off.

    So, maybe?

    70K 2014 SURVIVOR (Cabin 2565)

Doing my best to be there for 2015.

Road trip from TO to MTL is coming up! :headbanger:

The tickets are on sale today and I got my pass already.
With a notable exception of metallica(who always seem to attract the wrong crowd) the lineup looks killer and nothing in NA this summer can match that.

On a sad note I won't be making to any metalfests in EU this summer due to my budget constrains  just couldn't make it work.... damn.

I will also be making the road trip from Toronto area to montreal for this festival. since heavy T.O. isn't a thing anymore, which I went to the first 2. Disappointing that Annihilator wont be there or any death metal that I`m aware of kinda sucks but still cool. I was also at Orion Fest last year on the Sunday, good day. look forward to seeing Metallica for 8th time. Most looking forward to new Exodus songs. Holt is the man the last 15 years, and Jeff Waters will always be the Shred Legend.

It usually doesn't sell out, but with Metallica as headliners, I wouldn't be surprised if it sells out this year.

Some new band were added on the list today:

    Twisted Sister
    Voivod
    Nashville Pussy
    Beyond Creation
    The Motorleague

I'm very excited to see Twisted Sister for the first time. I *HAD* to see them at least once. Beyond Creation are very talented too and I wanted to see them for a while.

Same here in Vancouver but it was December (and I've seen them since). Entered Pacific Coliseum around 7 pm and it was a bright sunny day. Left with mind blown from best show of my young life around 11 pm and everything was covered in snow. So hilarious to be part of huge snowball fight like a bunch of kids on first day of winter lol. One of the most memorable concerts of my life :headbanger:

Your right that was a great show. it was hot a balls that night in Toronto.
Hope u get a good view this summer, no way they will miss their chance to play in front of the largest audience of their careers. Im fairly excited for Twisted Sister actually! I've seen a LOT of bands in my lifetime but not TS, should be fun.
I was actually hoping to go to AmnesiaFest instead, way more death metal plus bands I haven't seen 6+ times already such as Venom, just once on second cruise, but my buddies picked Montreal

    I would choose Dropkick Murphys.

I'm going with protest, seen dropkicks more times and they're coming again a month later.

The only bad conflict for me is Pennywise / Municipal Waste. I think I'll go for Municipal Waste since I've already seen Pennywise once, but I really wanted to see both.

Which of you is going to admit to planning on seeing Babymetal?

(Honestly, I'd likely catch a song or two just for shits and giggles if I was going)

If I can get there early enough I'll try to catch a few songs.
