Which band do you ache to have seen, but maybe they are dead/brokenup/disolved/etc?

For me:

Death - RIP Chuck, this is one of my favorite DM bands. I was young enough, but I wasn't into metal at the time of his live performances.

At the Gates - They never seem to come to NA.

Emperor - They never seem to come to NA.

Others I've loved to see that aren't technically broken up but don't come here because they are from Oz (too remote I guess) or Europe (visas suck or not enough fanbase here in stateside ( fuck that, the states needs to learn the best metal comes from Europe as a rule).

King's X. Been a fan ever since I was a kid (Out of the Silent Planet, Gretchen Goes to Nebraska..... damn their early albums were amazing!)

Within Temptation. Wish I saw them 10+ years ago when they were awesome. They are still really good and I'd still love to see them, but yeah they are not as good as they used to be.

Type O Negative - I had the chance to see their last show but for some reason I decided not to got that night. I'm still kicking myself for not going.

Led Zeppelin - My favorite band of all time. When they did their final reunion show 10 Years Gone (see what I did there?) I couldn't go for various reasons.

Pantera - When Dime died that was when I really started getting into them.

This isn't a hard one for me, because I've only really been into metal for the last ten years or so and the one band I never thought I'd see just got back together. But...

Scar Symmetry with Christian - I really liked them on 70k, but even their two singers aren't the same as Christian... Holographic Universe is my favourite Scar Symmetry album
Children of Bodom in their hayday - pretty obvious. Their 20 Years Down and Dirty tour was really great, but I feel like I've missed my chance to see Follow the Reaper live.
Nightwish with Anette - her albums (and her Wishmaster) were my favourite in the Nightwish timeline.

No point in mentioning acts that I would have been too young to have seen (for example I didn't see Emperor in 1999 but I didn't know who the fuck they were at the time)

My biggest missed opportunity was Impaled Nazarene. They played Toronto several years ago but I didn't have the money back then. It doesn't sound like they are touring anymore. Also Sigh, I missed an opportunity for the same reason and same time. Who knows if they will come through again.

Also there was the last time Manowar came to town. That was like 2005 or something. They wanted 60 bucks. I said, no thanks! I don't think they will ever play in the American market ever again.

Children of Bodom in their hayday - pretty obvious. Their 20 Years Down and Dirty tour was really great, but I feel like I've missed my chance to see Follow the Reaper live.

I was pissed when they didn't come to Houston for that tour. I absolutely worship old CoB, I have seen them several times touring with the newer albums but it was not the same.

I know it is quite an unpopular taste, but I really dig Anette's albums. Imaginaerum is actually my favorite Nightwish album

Anette was so lovely. Met her a few times. Saw Nightwish live with her on vocals 5 times I think?

Would have loved to see the big 'hair metal' bands I like "back in the day". Bands like Tesla, Def Leppard, Whitesnake.

Going to be seeing EXTREME with MR BIG in June! Will be a huge nostalgia trip but would have loved to have seen them back in the 80s/90s.

I'm not listing bands like the Beatles I didn't have a chance to see anyway - so, it's basicly the early 90ies show of R.E.M. I regret I wasn't allowed to go to (I know they are still around, but it wouldn't be the same)

really glad I got to see Helloween with Kiske the last few months!
still hoping to see Steel Attack one day, which is at least kinda likely
very unlikely would be a Heavens Gate reunion (show)

My biggest regret is having Bolt Thrower tickets and not going to the show, because I was moving the next day. Never again!
