My first experience with Gotthard was when I saw them live at Bang Your Head, Germany back in 2004.

I had absolutely no idea who they were, and I was completely blown away by their live act. Steve was an AMAZING showman, and what a voice.

In the years since, I've amassed quite a collection of Gotthard CDs and always eagerly anticipate their next release.

    I'm just completed gutted.

    I still can't believe it.

Wow, I missed that in the first read, some dumb-ass reporter with no clue about his/her topic. Not an unusual occurrence at all though...

Ya see? It's not the guy on the motorcycle's fault. It's always some other dumb-as@ that messes things up.

I'm a bit late commenting on this, as I heard about it early on, but damn if this wasn't tragic. The guy finally found the time to indulge in one of his life's goals, and it ends up killing him. Terrible. Truly a loss of good talent.

here in switzerland the tragedy was all over the news
his girlfriend mentioned that she's never seen him as happy as on this bike trip (he dreamt of for years)
another very impressive comment was her wish to include the "poor truckdriver" into our prayers

One of thee best voices I have ever heard. Discovered Gotthard a little over a year ago by pure fluke and got addicted to their music. Gutted that I'll never see them live and hear that amazing voice.

    RIP Steve
