Just discovered some awesome Greek death metal called Mencea (sorta sounds like Vadery Gojira?) courtesy of my sexy husband who finds cool new music for me (i'm in a good mood cuz he cleaned today, nothing turns me on more than a clean house hahah i'm fucked up!).

Been listening to the new Grand Magus album The Hunt a lot since picking it up last week.

I'm not one to sit and follow along with the lyrics, but from what I glean after a few listens, it's about vikings and wolves and blood and the moon and swords.

Lots of good tunes, but I wish the production was meatier. I'm sure this stuff sounds great live and I'm excited to see these dudes at Metalcamp.

Just discovered "The Islander" by Nightwish. It's definitely not a metal song, but the instrumental version sounds great. I listened to it several times today and hummed it when I wasn't listening to it. Really painted the islander setting very well.
