My sister was diagnosed with leukemia in the summer 2009 and went through the kemo and all that shit. It's now been a year since the bone marrow transplant and everything seems ok. Knowing what my sister went through, it's not even close to being clear for Nergal. The thing is, only half the people, if even that many, survive the radiation for the transplant, and even after that there's a long way to recovery.

I hope all the best for him.

My Mom had thyroid cancer when I was about 7 and beat it and my Dad had prostate cancer and surgery about 8 years ago. He's gotten steadily, increasingly cleaner bills of health each time he goes in to get his levels checked and what not but the family still holds its collective breath every time he goes in for a follow up.

I'm incredibly grateful that I've managed to quit most of my carcinogen ingesting related behaviours fairly early in life but can't help but get a little freaked out anytime a new or unusual health issue pops up. More and more of those rearing their ugly heads each year with age too so yeah, just gotta enjoy each day to the fullest and never take anything for granted.

Probably something to take with a grain of salt at this point. Lost in translation perhaps? Hard to make an opinion based on almost no information. Define "did not take care of himself" if indeed that is completely accurate. There is a huge window of opinion in that.

Not saying you think this way or that, just for others to not get hung up on the verbage.

MetalSucks interview with Nergal.

They plan to tour as early as October in Poland, possibly then tour AUSTRALIA (YAY!) and Asia after that and then have their sights set on America in Spring.


The only bad thing about this is that Spring unfortunately rules out the cruise for next year.
