    Another fun forum thread!
The closest I have to a “patch vest” or “patch jacket” is a Levi’s jean jacket that my best friend in high school bought me for my 18th birthday. What makes it special is the Yes logo she embroidered on the back – our group of friends’ favorite band at the time. The jacket is quite faded, but besides that, it’s in great condition considering I’ve probably worn it and washed it a zillion times. Last metal show I wore it to was Marduk about a year ago – funny thing was, a few people actually noticed the logo and commented on it.

I only have a few patches (picture below) – maybe if I feel motivated, I'll sew a couple of them on the jacket before the cruise. ;)

    Image

Inside of the jacket – all those tiny stitches have held up well all these years!
    Image

A few random patches I own but never sewed on anything…

    Aye, cool jacket Jonesy.

Fuck I've got like 4 backpatches right now and only one vest. I'm gonna start a new vest purely for doom metal and put Atlantean Kodex on the back. Waiting for Funeral Circle, Argus and Arkham Witch patches to arrive in the mail.

This is the first time this band has been mentioned here I think. I'll be seeing them at HITS (actually - they are the last of the bands I was hitherto unfamiliar with that I still need to check out). I have no idea what the merch situation is like for that fest, but I'll pick up a patch if I see one.

@ Dragonlord - great leather vest & nice selection of bands ya got there! I've been thinking of getting a vest like that for awhile in fact - and especially if Debb & I ever get our butts to Sturgis! :P By the way, you're a biker type right? Have you been there for the rally?

@ Laura Never been to Sturgis .... I've thought about going. I don't drive my bike anymore though (still have it) but my eyesight is too shitty for me to drive (bike or car)
so I rely on family and friends if I travel anywhere. @ metalwrath ... i looked at those patches for iced earth and helloween, but shipping is ridiculous 22 euro for standard shipping, unless I missed something when I went to check out. canceled before purchase ..... they had a nice testament super strip and a nice saint vitus too. :beerhorns:

@ gnoff .... we could do a beer exchange for those 2 if you want, just let me know if you get them :givebeer:

@ Element0s ...... fates warning and Omen patches would be really cool hope you find 'em

You can always go the route of buying the t-shirt and cutting it into a back patch. Have done that with several shirts that were too old and ripped to wear anymore. Kind of expensive though.

That's badass, Cycosurgeon. I wish there was some video footage of Cauldron Born. I'm very familiar with Briton Rites, it was one of my favorite albums from 2010 and I've been buying stuff from his label, "Echoes of Crom" too. Last Empire sounds pretty cool. Songwriting is certainly in the dark, esoteric and technical vein of Cauldron Born

found a t-shirt and patch ; new and unused, will be receiving in the mail shortly ........ t-shirt is a 3xl, a little large for even me, but what the hell as rare as they are ....... I don't even know what they look like (bought sight unseen, but assured original band merch.)

also learned cauldron born are in the studio and will release an ep later this year  :givebeer:

WOw..cool...both are cool, but a 3XL shirt, heck that's is an odd size for a shirt.

if I see that on the cruise I know who it is, cause there can't be many out there.

DLJones: You made me shed a solitary tear. That is some truely beautiful merchandise. You are the target of my envy, but I wish you the best all the same.
