Tattoo Identification

In reguards to my love of artful skin deco.....I think it would be the perfect place and event to have a fully equipped tattoo artist aboard this ship!!!
I definatley be the first in line!
Maybe an awesome Logo (of sorts) to commemorate this event!!
What do you all think??

This sounds like a great idea... However, knowing me, I will be partying pretty hard and copius amounts of alcohol + being all jacked up on metal is probably a bad mix when a tattoo artist is around... The last thing I want, is to wake up one morning and discover that I have a DIO back piece...On second thought, that sounds amazing!! LoL, somebody get a tattoo artist on this boat!

No there isn´t a thread about this,but it has been mentioned and talked about in one of the threads,but you can´t expekt people to read every thing written on this board.

Personally I read the threads headline and then deside if i want to read it,for example I can´t be botherd to read 5 pages about which beers will be sold on this cruise.

On the topic...A Tattoo artist would be a great addition on this cruise

As mentioned in other thread, movements upon the sea on a ship like this are nearly imperceptible. Certainly no jarring motions that would interfere with a tatty unless we hit a rogue ice berg or were caught in a sudden tsunami level storm. I don't think it should impact anyone's decision.

I'm not sure if this needs its own thread or not? There is also the option of gettting a tat in Cozumel. I found this on another board:

hey! i don't know if you'd be willing to cross over to cozumel (make a day of it?) but there's an awesome tattoo artist there named ofer (o-fear) that is absolutely amazing. he's really good at free hand drawing the tattoo on your skin without flash. i have no idea what kind of tattoo you'd like, but he does exceptional color blending and his tropical-esque tattoos are beautiful. i really want to get one from him, but as i live here i've been really lazy with it. but i do want to go . . . anyways i digress. he's on avenida 10 and calle adolfo rosada salas - 2 story blue building that says tattoo if i recall correctly. hope this helps! besides gives you a reason to cruise over to coz and check it out!

There seem to be some other shops in Cozumel as well.

I'll admit I've been considering getting some ink there... but don't really want to be dealing with a fresh tattoo on the way home yanno maybe in Miami if we stay an extra day.

About the tattoo artist... Well, I don't think a Cruise is the cleanest, healthiest place to get a tattoo. I wouldn't do it. I don't know about the movement of the ship, I've never been on a Cruise before so... like Captain Metal wrote: it's your skin =)

Yeah...taking care of one in the sun and surf...not very advisable especially if theres alot of color and detail....you definatley wouldn't want it to fade out from the beginning. Maybe get some good ideas on the cruise and like you said....get it in Miami!

I second that. Years ago, a friend and I decided to get tattoos just a couple of hours before a Morbid Angel show at Coney Island High in New York City. Mine was on my calf. The constant contact by the swaying of the crowd throughout the show is a painful reminder to never do that again while packed into a show with a bunch of people!

I haven't gotten a tattoo in a long time because I haven't had any good ideas. One of my longtime friends has gotten really good as a tattoo artist though, so that's where I will be getting my next one if I ever do!

I dunno about tat artist onboard, officially... Could be there might be someone in the industry who brings their gear, though.

I'm with the people who recommend the option of getting ink done when in Cozumel. DISCLAIMER: Just like anywhere else in the world, play it safe and check out the shop before doing it *just because you're on this cruise right now*, kids. Plenty of time to remember the trip with a tat done by a shop you trust, when you get back home.
