I remember earlier in the year when the Stars played 1 game in 12 days early in the season, which just does not make sense to me, especially when those days are far more valuable during the season. So of course, when the Stars have a bunch of injuries, they get to go on a 5 games in 8 days roadtrip that hits both fucking coasts.
How the fuck does that make any sense? They've had quite a few 3 games in 4 days stuff too. Travel for Western conference teams, especially Dallas in the Pacific, is just fucking brutal. In the East, not only is it all in the same timezone, but almost all their road trips are less taxing than a single away game for Dallas. Realignment will help, but certainly isn't a cure-all.
Damn, I had a bunch more thoughts, but can't think. Maybe later when I've fully woken up.
