DrinkMoxie wrote:Jebus_Cripes wrote:No anything diets don't work. Your body needs everything in moderation. Giving up on carbs completely seems bogus to me because carbs are fuel. My policy to diet nowadays when I'm not drunk is to stick to more natural foods as much as possible. Stay away from overly processed foods and eat as much variety as possible to get the best nutritional profile possible. Salads have been a staple for me not because they are low call but because I can load them up with a bunch of different ingredients so I get a plethora of vitamins and nutrients and good calories from them.
I say when not drunk because when I've been drinking profusely this policy goes to shit and I order pizza and wings at midnight.
look into the paleo diet

Well, at least that's your annual jog out of the way

WTG Bill! That sounds like some serious jumping in to the deep end! Enjoy
I've been pouting like a little girl since my ankle sprain has failed to heal properly. Have only run once since and for only 20 minutes, am eating like an idiot again and have a run planned for 10 am tomorrow that I'm already talking myself out of lol. Surprised I've only put back 4 pounds but I'm sure I've lost lots of muscle too. F'ing sprain + lack of discipline = FAIL MUST RECTIFY!

Nerve pinch kept me inactive for a while, and I was pretty upset at first about gaining some weight, but F it. It's not like I'm going to be walking around in a speedo.

Ran 9km today at an event to raise food, funds and awareness for the Vancouver Food Bank and my ankle held up beautifully! I do believe that running is once again a part of my life
