After watching Vampire Girl Vs. Frankenstien Girl, Human Centipede, Teeth, and THANKSKILLING.... I need to add Mansquito and this to list of horrible horror movies to watch.
Also, I do believe the tire is using air to kill things. It makes more sense...
Though, the idea of a killer tire making sense...

Saw the trailer for "Rubber" on the DVD for "Norwegian Ninja" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4wNVjI9bJIk (a movie worth watching, BTW). It didn't exactly inspire "MUST WATCH NOW" but it looks entertaining enough. I'll take an artsy independent film over 90% of the Hollywood garbage coming out these days. -

Rubber was SO great!!! I could draw parallels to Natural Born Killers or The Omen... but I don't think most people would get it... I could talk endlessly about the social commentary toward Hollywood (not even remotely subtle), but I think social commentary is (sadly) 100% lost on people nowadays...
but nobody can deny it's superbly filmed and very unique!

I take back all the props I gave to this flick before seeing it. Pretty damn awful. Enjoyed the trailer far more than the film itself. So much great potential simply wasted.
Promising ideas that were never taken to any of the great available conclusions, poorly delivered performances by almost the entire cast and, in terms of 'commentaries', the director seemed happy to settle for fairly statement-less glimpses in the general direction of Hollywood while so much more could have been done. Not the worst B movie I've ever seen but I just wish maybe they'd taken more time with it. Oh for sure. I bet lots of ppl will find it great.
I just think I set the bar too high based on the trailer and then pumped it up here and basically felt like going into total critic mode instead of just saying 'I was wrong'So far at least, 2011, 2012 & 2015 were enough for me

the expectations definitely have an influence on the degree of enjoyment
