In my province, we have an election tomorrow for Premier.
    Parties are:
Progressive Conservatives--been in power over 40 yrs. Friend of big oil, etc. The leader Alison Redford is about as exciting as watching paint dry.
Wildrose-upstart right wing-nuts. Kinda like the tea-party in the US--and just as daft. Their candidates have been making news by being ridiculous--Statements along the lines of `` Climate change is unproven````gays will burn in lake of fire`` `` as a white man, I represent aall white people`` lol, They are promising everything with no plan. Their leader Daniele Smith is at kinda cute--but I think she has crazy eyes! <
Liberal- I am more of a liberal supporter on a national level, but they struggle here.
New Democratic Party- left wing type Socialist--health care, education, free everything type of mandate. Never had a seat here EVER until the last election--in a hipster doofis, university area artsy fartsy pro-everyting riding full of students and art shops--you know, lazy mooches of society!!
Alberta Party-not sure.. probably a right wing separtist type mantra.
    Lenin-Marxist-- Revolution for the BOurgeoise!
Green-- no, not THAT Green. This enviro based parties had some bite a few years ago,but don`t hear much about them anymore. Drowning in the exhaust smoke of every rednecks` jacked up diesel 4X4 waiting in line at Tim Hortons »Coffee for half an hour on his way to the oil patch!! LOL
I`ll vote, but pretty sure the next day will be the same as all the others.

We need more parties in the States. Wildrose sounds like our Republican Party now. They've got a long way to go to match the insanity of the Tea Party (not a real political party for now as they run as Republicans).

I'm making tapioca pudding. It takes sooooomcuh better homemade than the store bought kind, though it takes quite a while to make.

this does make me want more parties in the US too, but the very last sentence is probably still applicable whether there are 2 parties or 12! no matter what side you're on, the almighty dollar still makes all the decisions in the end.

The influence of money in the US election cycle is just disgusting.
