Yes, LOL. You are correct. The Mississippi River works as a giant summer weather funnel and draws Gulf moisture up our way. We often get higher dew points then Miami and New Orleans. A lot of our summer days we are just like Louisiana and Mississippi during the summer months. Houston runs a close second. We never have a slow build up, it just comes and dumps on us like a load of bricks and then it stays around like it is this week. Then we get storms during the night, which down trees, cuts power which means No AC, wipes out trailer parks, small towns, blah blah blah. Normal Minnesota summer.![]()
Really heavy rains the other night. 8" and the Cannon river rose 3' in one hour. Big flood again! Same thing last fall.

Why do I long for having nothing to do when I have something to do, and then long for something to do when I have nothing to do?

This man from Gothenburg was flying with his family.
On the plane in Copenhagen before taking off he took a battery his wife had asked him to throw away, wrote "bomb" on it and taped it to a seat of the airplane.
The airline had to cancel the flight and put all the passengers in a hotel, the (of course drunk) husband got arrested and admitted he "didn't contemplate the effects of his actions".
The airline has stated they'll demand money for the cancelled flight and hotel costs fromt eh stupid guy, who will also face court.
No matter how many times I will repreat this it will never be enough:
alcohol does NOT make you smart....
oh yeah, it's fun to joke about bombs on planes, I'm sure the airline will see it with a sense of humor...
stupid asshole

send this damn rain to Colorado to put out them fires instead of drenching poor Gothenburg...
