Some are worth reading, like the ones in the wizards library in Dragonsreach.....just sayin'.....

Well that's the frustrating thing. I've found numerous books that result in skill upgrades etc after reading them and I'm sure others trigger quest events and such but there's just too damn many of them to read without it being an entirely new time sink of epic proportions. Damn nerds!
EvilDan wrote:I saw someone's Quest List about 25 hours into the game, and there were literally hundreds of quests that were open, and they were nowhere near coming close to finding everything. I am a completist, but I'm thinking I'll have to play this game differently. I usually want to read everything, see everything, do everything, do all branches with all decisions, etc. However, this game sounds like that would be not just hundreds of hours, but potentially over 1000.![]()
It's kind of funny. I have like 20 Mass Effect saves based on certain decisions, and how I want it to affect Mass Effect 3. Lots of those have to do with which woman I was romancing.

Nice. Is that from one of the daedric shrines? I've only found 2 and one was locked (Mehrunes Dagon).

Daedric Quest from Azuras Shrine
Stained Class wrote:Could be very useful. What do you get from Meridia's shrine, do you know yet? Oh, when you do the quest "the pale lady" you get a badass one handed sword called winters bane or something. You're doing pretty much the same build as me so you'd probably like to have that.

PC or PS3?
i always say PC but then again i am a firm believer in the statement. Consoles are for people who can't afford real computers. also in the next few weeks Bethesda will be releasing the mod tools for the game and i know you can mod the shit outta your game on the PC but i am not sure about either console.

When reading the above post, please keep in mind I'd yet to discover fast travel between points on the map and had previously either walked or ridden from place to place every time

Why don't you want access to fast travel? Is there a penalty I'm unaware of or just a personal thing?
Get that pic n' post it!

I was pretty excited when I first learned about it, as I highly enjoyed the books and at least the first movie. I figured an adventure game that takes place during/after the events of the first book/movie sounded like a pretty good idea, especially from Telltale.
*Warning: Potential Spoilers*
Unfortunately, it wasn't quite the game I had hoped it would be. The overall story was okay, not too terribly outlandish (ala JP3). However, the physical game itself was lacking. Instead of the point-and-click adventure I was anticipating, it was mostly a "hit the corresponding button when prompted" type of game. For instance, you may be trying to evade a raptor, and at a certain point in the scene you'll have to hit a sequence of up/down/left/right; if you miss one, the scene may show you tripping and summarily being pounced on my the raptor. There are some puzzle sequenced, but the interface makes everything so obvious that calling those scenarios a puzzle is an overstatement. Lastly, there are a few scenes where you are having a conversation with other characters, only you may be controlling the responses to both parties involved; I found this very weak, as it made it very hard to identify with a single character. As the player, you're placed in a situation where you personally may feel a different way about a situation than what is possible from your responses. That aspect made it hard to really identify with any single character. Though, the conversational side of things really had no impact on the result of an episode, or the whole game for that matter.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend it. The only replayability comes from if you want to get through each episode with 100% accuracy, and there's no real reward for doing so (unless you like achievements).
