hey, since this thread is for sharing our artsy or business endeavors...whatever....how about poetry? anyone write? i have a few pieces i'd like to share. these are 4 of my favorites out of my old collection. i've written lyrics too but those feel very different since they have to fit music. anyway. enjoy or not. i'm such a nerd.

Sexless masses
Sexed individuals
Vexed society

All across “civilization”
An unhappy coexistence
Doomed to soulless duality

Confined to lie behind
Vacant, lifeless eyes
Exponentially increasing

Humanity has learned
How to destroy itself
With the terms of its
“progress”

The child has been abandoned

Its shrill cries piercing me
Scraping and lacerating me

Above all others I may have hurt
This child will not cease
In reminding me of my desertion
I did not want it to live this way
But I had no choice
For its death would be suicide

Never can I go back to retrieve
What has been lost in time
I must coexist with them,
These ceaseless screams of a child
And hope that someday
They will no longer bother me.

yeah, i would try too! not sure about how i'd like them but i guess i wouldn't know until i try! i can kinda imagine the liver paste but not so much the blodpudding. - haven't the foggiest how that would be!

hey sometimes i get inspired but i do many things with that inspiration from music to poetry to visual art. no limiting myself.

Blodpudding is the one I'd maybe be a bit grossed out about.... there is some stuff in Mexico called Moronga, which is basically coagulated blood, which I have never been able to bring myself to try

It HAS to be boiled and rinsed, repeat, repeat,.....and cut into very small pieces! (although I'll take Lengua ANY DAY!

i'd try it from somewhere i knew it was made right....just don't want it from any old place though. i will try stuff.

i had Vietnamese pho, which isn't too crazy, but you can get it with tendon in there, tried it once, not too bad.

Last fall, my buddy Jim Sands put on a freaking amazing, performance of his self-written tale of hockey lore and family diversity and dynamics, 'Charlie - A Hockey Story', at Vancouver's Fringe Festival. It was an absolute blast to attend as an audience member, cool to contribute to via some audio resources I did in my little home studio and a raving success with the local critics and attendees. So much so that Jim is taking it out on tour this summer traveling to Ontario and back and hitting up various stage festivals along the way. He hasn't landed the Calgary festival yet as far as I know but Edmonton is locked in for some time in August. I'll post links to reviews and more details as they're available but I'd HIGHLY recommend any Canadian metalheads who even remotely enjoy hockey and/or musical/stage/comedy/theatre type stuff make a point of attending if this thing comes anywhere near you. Not very metal at all but definitely good times.

Hey guys.

So I've sort of dropped off the map since the cruise been really busy with life and trying not to be depressed about being back on land. As a result of this, I got something to share. Or rather... will have something... soon haha

I am entering the Nightwish fan video competition that they have going on for their new single. Whether you've heard of it or not, feel free to check it out. I am running on a three week deadline at the moment which ends this upcoming Thursday and instead of just tossing up the finished product I figured I would write a daily blog about the making of the video and share some behind the scenes stuff before it comes out.
