Giving it up entirely is impossible because I love the buzz. I let stress get to me over the last couple of years, so I've been drinking wine everyday when I get home from work. So I'm saving money and reducing my intake of calories! I can down a bottle of wine myself in a night. So at say $8 a bottle, I'm saving $32 a week and 700 calories x 4 nights a week = 2800 calories! Plus I can get more done around the house and make more time to exercise!
It's a reasonable resolution I can stick with. Unfortunately, last night I drank as I usually do and after four days off, I got trashed. LOL I'm gonna have to cut back on the weekends too, I guess.
i have a wee bit of a hangover today myself....boo. i too am trying to cut out drinking on weekdays! i didn't drink every day, but i really am thinking the same- save it for the weekends and save money and calories.
