I had a thought this morning... how are we all going to find eachother on the first day? We should plan out some meeting place.

You and I have cabins just down the hall from eachother.. It will be easy to visit!

We shall definatley have a meeting place the first day!...also...we all need to exchange cell phone numbers for when we arrive in Miami and want to get together the day before...I think Captain metal has mentioned a place to meet on that day..

A small family restaurant near me has decent prices but not the best food so I've only been there once in about 6 years of living here. A month ago I met the owner while at the casino and he raved about their $9.99 steak special so I went there afterward to try it out.

While I was eating, Year Of The Cat played over the stereo. I thought of Lalo and smiled. I am convinced I will now picture his film every time I hear that song for as long as I live.

Btw, the steak was great but was served with "fresh" vegetables that I'm certain came from a bag in the freezer and tasted like thawed water. I doubt I'll return for another 6 years.

Show was amazing man! Pretty tough to disappoint me at a Death Angel gig though.

Swashbuckle just cracks me up and are a great, energetic opener in my opinion. Augury couldn't get over the border so that sorta sucked. Mutiny Within was not my thing at all. Killer vocalist and drummer but just too many pretty harmonies and not enough balls in their songwriting for me. I'd like to hear what they'd come up with if they all suddenly became big thrash metal fans. Soilwork were good but sort of anti-climatic for me after Death Angel. I guess it's an age or stylistic preference thing but both my buddies and I were saying the same thing after the show - "How is it that Death Angel is opening for those guys when they're clearly the better band?" I only wish DA had played more than ten songs but what can ya do? It is Soilwork's tour after all.

The only really shitty thing that sort of blew my mind was the lame attendance. Reminds me of the 90's decline of metal. I mean. I saw Melvins at this same venue a few weeks back and the place was sold out and packed to the rafters. Last night, the balcony was closed because they didn't sell enough tickets to warrant opening it. Just sad.

I'll be going to the same show on Aug 9th - I was wondering if they were gonna have a 70K promo! As much as people here have bashed Swashbuckle, I agree with you, they're a great opener. Cruise will be my 3rd time seeing them, I'm hoping they'll bring their inflatable palm tree

And I know exactly what you mean about lame attendance; I couldn't BELIEVE how few people turned out for Korpiklaani with Tyr in Tampa and Ensiferum in Orlando this past year! At least Augury shouldn't have a border issue for the show here

Def know what that's like though, missed Hypocrisy because they had some kind of visa problem

Fair enough man sounds like a sweet gig. I really dig Soilwork's early material.. but they don't play it too much haha.

Mutiny within needs to stop jumping on EVERY SINGLE FUCKING tour that comes through, because everyone just seems to be sick of them.

Weird about Augury though.. they're from Montreal.. don't know why they couldn't get in.. and they're wicked!!

Just back from Europe yesterday - Norway and Wacken were awesome!!! Had an even greater time at Wacken 2010 than 2009 (if that was even humanly possible
