Holy night from hell at work. We (quite literally overnight) went from a normal amount of work into our busiest time of year. So on top of the regular amount of work I do, I've got literally hundreds of things to do for an account that's assigned to me and one other person. Which is fine. Not fine, though, is when people stop by every half hour or so and ask if I'm going to get everything finished. There would be a much better chance of that if fuckers would leave me alone and let me work. Add to that we have a new guy in our department. As my supervisor calls me her "go-to" person, he's been advised to ask me any questions he has. Which is also fine, he's new, he's just learning, his questions don't bother me. But really, dude, if you continue to interrupt me while I'm trying to give/show you where to find the answer, we're going to have some problems.
On top of all that, we found out last night that our supervisor (who I absolutely adore, she and I get along great) is changing departments.
So on top of it being the busiest time of year, and helping the new guy get his footing, in the very, very near future, I'm going to wind up with a new supervisor who will know precious little about my actual job function, who I won't be able to go to with any major issues, simply because whoever it will be won't know the answer. And my current supervisor will be changing shifts, so the next one won't even be able to ask her for help if they get stuck. It was one of those nights were I wanted to put "The Trooper" on my ipod on repeat to get me through, but nope, that wasn't an option, as my ipod battery died, and me being the genius I am, forgot my charger at home :(
