i thought it would be intresting to know what everone likes.
get to know one another so to say.

me & wendy just went to see the sorcerers apprentice with nicolas cage.
It was an entertaining movie in which nicolas cage could play his role as he wants to.

I have always been a sucker for nice fantasy films. altough i was not very enthousiatic about LotR the two tower (worst of the 3 and only makes sense in the extended version) and all harry potter movies (except the first 2 with the right dumbledore)

I also ahve a weak spot for nice action movies like the classic die hard, or die hard with a vengence. pirates of the carribean is off course also a great movie.

qua horror, i have to no to Saw 1 tot endless movie. I liek "the classics" more like bram stocker's dracula.

but what are thought about movies? what gives you goosebumps? or puts a smile on your face?

The first 2 were the only good ones, 3 and on stray from the book and make zero sense [to any nerds like myself who have read the books.]

But other than that, me + movies = no.

well i have to admit i have read all 7 books so you do not have to feel nerdy

first 2 movies came a bit close to the book and i thought the dumbledore in those 2 movies really played his part well. especially because he used his voice so very well. (scene from the first movie when that teacher anounces that there a troll in the dungeons, that's was a good display of how to use your voice)
and also make little nodds to emplify the meaing.
the new dumbledore can't/couldn't do that and he mainly displayed that with the 4th movie. when harry's name cames out of the goblet. the first thing he does is physicly put harry to the wall and is angry with him....

I highly recommend anything directed by Penelope Spheeris before 1992's Wayne's World (her first big movie where the quality took a major dive). My faves are Suburbia, Boys Next Door and Dudes. Decline of Western Civilization 1 & 2 aren't bad either.

DAAAAAAMN!!!!
Ive only seen 6 of those you listed Jake....of course I don't have much time to watch movies with my schedule!
Ive only just begun to actually TRY and watch them...I always end up getting up several times to take care of somthing...then by the time I do relax enuff to watch.....I fall asleep lol...its an ongoing joke about me with my kids.....I ask them...."hey you guys wanna watch a movie with me?"....."uh yeah right Mom" lol

This is your next to-watch movie list. These are all very good movies.. in my opinion haha (though I did just do a check on the imdb top 250.. I think ALL of them are on there.. so I guess it's not just my opinion!)

Seen and enjoyed 23 of the 26 (well, except I thought LOTR sorta sucked but my expectations were too high I guess. If I never see another weepy eyed Hobbit as long as I live it will be too soon) and I have In Bruges queued up on my PVR but just haven't got around to starting it yet

In Bruges was.... interesting. It was good, just not at all what I expected, much darker than I thought it would be. I agree with about 2/3 of that list... you're missing Hot Fuzz though!

Highly recommend, especially for anyone who's a fan of Simon Pegg

hahaha I was just thinking the same thing.

Hell, that's most of his resume right there!

Glad you liked In Bruges. That's the only role I've ever liked Colin Farell in, but Brendan Gleeson and Ralph Fiennes Were sooooo good (as per usual).

I've never seen following actually... that's the only nolan movie I haven't seen!

Shutter island was good.. but not as good as many other scorcese offerings. I also guessed the twist about 5 minutes in

Requiem is depressing! Good though.

I went to go rent Kick-ass on monday but It wasn't out yet! Damn! haha. I'll see it soon.

well i began with movies out of the top of my head, then i looked on imdb on actors

stil have to search on johnny depp. gues a bunch of movies will pop up there

me and wendy had a regular routine to visit the cinema ones, twice sometimes 3 times a week (edit: a whole year)

Honestly during shutter I felt so uneasy the entire time.. even when I knew what was going to happen.. what a tense movie! I guess that was sort of the point.. it definitely got to me!
I think I'll rent kickass on Sunday or something.

I also just realized I haven't seen all of Insomnia either.. damn it! And I call myself a Nolan fan.. ha.

Ever since Memento came out (jeez almost a decade ago) I have been hooked by Nolan's movies. He's definitely the 'it' director in hollywood right now.

yah for sure man, Insomnia is pretty good too, not one of my top fav though, i liked The Prestige waaay better maybe it has something to do with the whole magic theme heh I also have high hopes for Darren Aronodsky, after Requiem hes done not all too bad, sure he did The Fountain which was kinda acid trippy but The Wrestler was pretty amazing.... all depressing movies though haha but good story though

Shutter Island and Lady in the Water are two of the worst movies ever made.

That director sucks anyway, the indian one. I only liked The Sixth Sense, I hated Signs because I hate Mel Gibson.

I loved Mad Max but that was about it.

I like horror. italian horror is some of my favorite. japanese horror is good too

yesterday i saw, for the shear f*ck of it, the matrix. now i have to follow the trilogy
