Next time I visit Arizona, maybe I'll stop by the Wildlife Museum after checking out the AMHGC (American Museum of Historical Governmental Conspiracies).

It was dark out so couldn't see anything. That was scary.

The last 2 seconds or so sound like some kickass Gene Hoglan footwork
Glad your encounter wasn't any more serious than a bit of a scare

We survived tonight's walk. No rattlesnakes. Some wayward strands from spider webs and a really cute mouse was all we had.

Wish I was there. I love observing nature. Besides, I'm sooooo sick of the city right now.

Couldn't see much though. It was nighttime and this area is extremely dark (dark sky regulations). Not many street lights and the ones it does have are fairly weak.

The International Dark Sky Association is headquartered in Tucson. They are a nonprofit that works to help preserve dark skies and prevent light pollution. Arizona has a bit of an astronomy sector so preventing light pollution is pretty important for the observatories and professional and amateur astronomers out here. There are other benefits argued, such as protecting local ecosystems and reducing energy consumption.

Come visit! Tucson is a fairly large city but it's so sprawling so it doesn't feel that big, plus I live on the outskirts.

That's it. I'm buying a flame thrower. And one big enough to cook javelinas instantly.
