I tried it once last summer...didn't like it because it doesn't burn enough calories for me.

I definitely it! Popcorn with chili sauce, valentina sauce, maggi sauce and chamoy sauce or plain potato chips with lime, valentina sauce and maggi sauce. So yummy!

Indeed! R-Money was just on there giving some speech hating stimulus and Obamacare (looks a lot like Romneycare!) and praising Paul Ryan's (or as Charlie Pierce calls him on his excellent Politics blog on Esquire, The Zombie-Eyed Granny Starver) bullshit budget. I think Karl Rove is going to give his thoughts next.

Holy shit! Just had a huge scare! Was at the end of a passing lane trying to get by some dumbass who kept speeding up, so I was doing 30mph over the speed limit when a cop car went by in the opposite lane. He immediately turned on his lights so we were sure he was gonna come after us but he never did. Or if he did he didn't catch us. Whew! Needless to say, drove around the speed limit the rest of the trip.

That was a close call! And I can't drive a stick so it would've been real bad if the offense was bad enough to get your license suspended  Dodged a bullet there! :deathhorns: I'm gonna guess he just couldn't find a way to turn around.

Oh wow! I've never tried yoga, pretty sure I'd suck at it

haha if i can get through a class i'm pretty sure almost anyone can!

Good luck Rhia! And yeah, wouldn't say "anyone". I was built more "butch" rather than graceful and balance has never been something that I've even remotely come close to mastering. Did I mention that I fall or trip into walls on a regular basis? I quite literally face-planted into the side of a train yesterday before the collision knocked me to the ground. I have a good deal of respect for those who are able to pull off the discipline, focus and techniques for yoga - kick some ass at it Rhia! Are you still doing karate too?

I get to play D&D again!! A friend of mine invited me to join a group that he plays with that just recently had two people drop out. Spent almost two hours on the phone with the DM talking about the campaign, catching me up on the story and the character that I will be taking over when initially playing with them this Saturday. This guy has been a DM for about 20 years, hell people have HIRED him in the past to be their DM because he is so damn good at it and experienced. I can't wait to play with this guy and the experienced group.

D&D all day and night Saturday. YESSSSS.

Got my 2011 tax report yesterday. Getting 1200 euros back.
That's not final though as I still have to report my expenses from going to work, so it should go up a bit. :D
They pay the refund in the beginning of December, so that would be a nice sum to take with me to the US (if I do come to Barge).
Wishlist:
Anything with MARTIN VAN DRUNEN / ORIGIN / MORE GIRLIE BANDS = MORE BETTER / ABORTED / ADE / PRIMORDIAL / TRIOSPHERE / VOMITORY / HATE / REVAMP / TECHNICAL DEATH METAL / VADER

Antelope Canyon was amazing! The weather was a bit too cloudy to get awesome lighting in the lower canyon, so we will have to do that one again Saturday, if the weather allows it. During our tour of the upper canyon the clouds cleared for a bit, making for some amazing views in the canyon. Wow, there are some incredible places on this planet

Tried to catch up on this thread but was 15 pages behind so am certain I've missed lots of great stuff. Gratz to all who've had reasons to rejoice. Great to see the thread almost catching up with the bitching thread lol.

As for me, lots has been going well but today's particularly awesome as I'm on day one of a 10 day staycation with lots of great local plans and stuff to do. Also, recently got the great news that Kyoko will not have to go back to Japan as soon as planned or for nearly as long before she's able to get her permanent resident status here, complete her nursing registration process and be able to work and live here full time. Was a lot of uncertainty around all of that for the past month and a half plus so it's nice to be past it with pretty much the best possible outcome.

Oh, and playoffs start soon!!! (the authentic variety of 'soon' too) ;)

I finally won a contest. Haven't won anything over a $10 value in over 6 months but a few days ago I got a voice message on my cell phone from Buckle clothing co. that I have a $100 gift card on the way!! Called the rep back and she confirmed my address. And no it was not a spam call. I'm a pro at sweeps now to know when its real. Yeah!!! free clothes for BTH. Much needed since clothes are getting bigger on me and falling down.
