That sounds so good!

Yup! I'd show you but you don't have facebook so...

That's okay. It would only make me hungry and since I don't have bacon cooked with MAPLE SYRUP!!!, I would be bitching that I can't have it

Was my math totally fucked up or did something change? I could've sword that this thread was at 184 and the bitching one was at 189 :?

I wonder, could this be the first real concrete sign of early onset dementia :|

Okay, still baffled as to just wtf is going on but now the bitching thread has dropped back by about 20 pages as well and is at 178.

The race (that would be the imaginary one in my mind where good triumphs over evil and is somehow connected to the amount of content in these two diametrically opposed threads) is BACK ON BABY!!!

So rejoice people!

Had a good night's sleep? REJOICE!

Made it to the kitchen without stubbing your toe on the leg of the coffee table? REJOICE!

Passed wind without making a mess? REJOICE!

Got the chance to convert oxygen to carbon dioxide for another day and lived to post about it? REJOICE I SAY!!

Okay, got that out of my system now. Carry on. Thank you

I think the mods are just messing with our heads

Now I want maple syrup though. I think I'll sneak some into my oatmeal tomorrow morning so I have something to eat it with. Too weird on its own.

Stole the quote from the bitching thread :P

Talk about good food just doesn't belong there (plus I'm doing my best to boycott the thread - at least until this one catches up or passes it in post count!)

I feel like he's given me the recipe something like 10 times but I never seem to have it :oops:It's pretty easy so I'll definitely pass it along once I get it.

I think we even got a thread for that ;)

Sushi is amazing! The sushi in Edmonton was terrible, like really really awful. The fish was no good. But HERE it's delicious! I'm pretty glad to be back by the coast where the seafood is as fresh as possible.

After almost a year or more(? since the spammers attack on the broads during the forum boycott), it appears the mods have succeeded at repairing all threads! I can now click the little red 'read unread posts' button and it doesn't take me 1 or 2 pages back on any thread over 10 pages like it has for so long now.

I don't think many others were afflicted with this as I think it happened as a result of me clearing a bunch of unread threads during the attack.

I'm guessing the loss of multiple posts in this and other threads is related to some work that's been going on behind the scenes. Either way, it makes the forums much more manageable and enjoyable for me now. Thanks UMC!!

I still find it a little difficult to imagine that 20 out of less than 200 pages worth of threads were spam. Maybe spam and deleted accounts combined but even that still seems like a lot.

It feels like its been a long way getting to this point since it was announced in May, but its FINALLY happening. After all of the drama - and there was a lot, overtime creating the funding training program that I made to help push this whole thing along: today I start my first day in my new role as a Mortgage Closing Associate (I hate the new title, I really hope they change it "soon"). I'm the only one who is making the change over to the new role and have been designated as the guineu pig basically. The next few months I'm going to have to bust my ass, I'll have a bigger pool of people that I'll be compared against and I want to retain my reputation as the best/strongest among all of the associates since if I do I should be able to transition to Underwriter in perhaps and hopefully less than a year. I'm actually pretty thankful to have something to throw myself into like this considering how royally pissed off at my love life I currently am lol, its a needed distraction.

Thanks :bangers: youngest on my floor which consists of five departments. I'm a bit intimidated but I think if I stay focused enough I'll be able to pull this off well, today went really good but I have a shit ton of work ahead of me. Which is okay, because more over time = METAL DAYS 2013 + Italy + maybe one other fest next summer.

Hell yeah Nicole! And I think I may be catching onto this - will Erik be rooming with (dun dun dun) Kevin and co replacing Ryan (Bentz)? If so, further rejoice, Mare could come on Barge too! She picked up a drinking horn at Metalcamp this summer for the sole purpose of adding a sippy cup lid on the top of it. I can't bloody wait to see it. The admiration I have for that woman knows no bounds. Who are you going to be rooming with?

Just got back from the Tyr/Metsatoll/Moonsorrow/Korpiklaani show, and here's what happened:

Heri Joensen gave me a hug.

I saw him behind the venue before the show as I walked from my car, and when I glanced him I blurted out “Holy shit.” I was surprised to see him. I turned to keep walking like I hadn’t just made a fool of myself, and he came up and shook my hand, gave me a hug, and said “Nice patch,” pointing to my Tyr patch. I managed to stumble through “Oh my god” and “Thanks” before turning into a giant puddle of mush.

AND THERE’S MORE!

During the show, I met Ville’s (Moonsorrow singer) girlfriend, who invited my friends and me to come party with the bands afterward (Metsatoll, Moonsorrow, Korpiklaani, Tyr). And she totally pulled through. We met the singer of Moonsorrow and most of Korpiklaani, plus a few members of Metsatoll. We also met Terji, but the Tyr guys weren’t down for partying so we didn’t get to talk to them really. We hung out on one of the tour buses with the bands and then the venue owner said we were all invited to come drink inside. So my two friends and I followed Korpiklaani back into the bar, where we spent the next few hours drinking and chatting with Matti and Jarkko from Korpiklaani. Jonne was there, drinking of course, and we snagged a few pictures with him. He grabbed my friends ass twice. Jarkko kept offering me his drinks. Matti taught me how to say a few phrases in Finnish, one of which was some swear involving the word “flute” but I can’t remember any of it (of course).

Like….did that just happen?!

Also the bands rocked, it was a great crowd, they played songs I liked, etc.
