Kalakai is Miami based band that I saw a few years back and though they were pretty damn good. Perhaps they wouldn't mind playing.

As to Tomasz suggestion for Kalakai, well you can be sure they will definitely NOT be playing, as I seriously dislike a few of those guys. So they can suck it!

And as for Craig's question about the outside stage, well it's not in the park area behind the club, but rather on the north side of the building. If you Google map it and look at it from the Satellite view, you can even see the stage on the right side of the patio area.

Coooool! Thanks for organising this Captain Metal. Me and the hubby will definitely be there after we've had some burgers!

What ID is acceptable at the door? Will my UK photographic driving license be ok or should I bring my passport?

I guess I'll bring my driver's license.

But if they ID me for 21, I'll probably fall over in chock anyways and won't be able to enter once I start laughing :D

Take a look at the "bird's eye" view to get an idea of the parking situation. Looks like a park behind the building, will the outdoor stage be there?

Google Earth view is superior now that I look at it.

Yeah, and there is the street view as well. I can see a car parked on the building's back, but it could be the open space for the stage. Hope it doesn't rain!

I am almost 49. My flight gets in after 8 pm on the 23rd after leaving Sea-Tac at 8:25 in the morning. Lay over in Dallas. I am staying in Coral Gables about 4 miles from the Miami Airport. I am going to put my bags in the room and go to a German restaurant and have dinner and a few beers and then get some much deserved shut eye. Friday is going to be fun and fantastic and I want to absorb the entire event with open eyes. As it is, I have to get up at 4:30 in the morning Sunday the 23rd to get to the airport by 6:30.

I will see you young-uns on the Majesty.

Yeah I'm definitely going to the pre-party :headbanger: after the football games. The second game won't be over until close to 10pm EST, so maybe we can leave a little early if the mood suits us. If it's a killer game, maybe we stay. We can play it by ear. Then we can cram in a cab and hop over to Transit lounge. It's only about 8 miles/15 min away.

Sadly, the lady and I will not be able to attend. It would cost $100+ in cab fairs to go there and back to the hotel and would be just rushing everywhere. Would rather take the lady out for a nice romantic dinner and enjoy the evening before set sailing.

Hope everyone else has fun!

Might be different in Miami because it's a big tourist destination, but generally you would need to use your passport for identification if you don't have a US or Canada driver's license.

Well, Scott - you do have a lot longer travel day than I do.....but - you should go to this shindig man! You don't have to stay too late or anything - plus you can sleep in a bit the next morning. Hell, if I can do it, you can do it. Okay....here's a bribe - maybe there's a slow dance to Peaches & Herb's Reunited in store for you if you do. ;) ;) Hmmmm?

That would work. Donn, wasn't Cesar talking about using Reunited at the Hibernus reunion show (whenever that is going to happen).

Translation for others: the drummer for Thrash or Die has expressed interest in Reunited

  I'm doing my best! The Peaches & Herb song reference still cracks me up - Scott mentioned it on the "what kinds of music do you like (besides metal)?" thread a while back - to which I believe I replied "Reunited? What? Are we like at high school prom circa 1978 or something?" Seriously doubt any of the metal bands you've booked will play Reunited....but then again....a metal version could be quite humorous.
