I'm not big on female fronted bands at all really. There are some with chicks just IN them that are pretty good. :p

Arkona and Warlock is what you want ;)

    Yes, I enjoy those.

Highly doubt that would happen though.

It would be killer if they got Blind Guardian on board though. Especially seeing since they are supposed to have a new album / tour this year I believe. Get Iced Earth as well, then they could throw a Demons and Wizrads Show. That would be awesome.

Even more impossible, but it would be incredible if they could get a full Avantasia or Ayreon show. haha.

Hell yeah! Pain of Salvation would be amazing!

for me personally some good choices would be:
    Iced Earth
    Pagans Mind
    Kamelot
    Immortal
    Alestorm
    Symphony X
    Destruction
    Edguy
    Immolation
Queensryche - long shot, but hey... I can dream!
    Mayhem
    Candlemass
    Dark Funeral
    Memory Garden
    Turisas
    Hammerfall
    Blind Guardian
    Borknagar
    Pain of Salvation
    Enslaved
    Tyr
    Morbid Angel
    Nile

but regardless I'm excited to see the different bands, and for the the really bad ones theres plenty of bars, restuarants, and the casino, so, yeah :shred:

Figured you could appreciate this. I used to correspond with Damon of Corpse Molestation back in 1991/92, they changed into Bestial Warlust and he sent me a Vengenance War Til Tl Death t-shirt. It sat in my basement for 15+ years (after wearing a bunch of times) along with lots of other shirts. My sister took them out of storage for me, washed them (and having to go to the hospital due to an allergic reaction to the mold in the garbage bags that was released) and sent them to me.

I was STILL able to sell the shirt for $50 on Ebay since it was in good condition. I guess they became a "cult" band as the years passed. Being a "death mental weenie" myself I always preferred Corpse Molestation over BW. Seemed like a drastic turn to capitalize on a then growing black metal trend.

Yeah I've seen Candlemass twice, once in 89 with Messiah, and then again with the "Solitude Aternus" singer, and yeah, he was good, but to me it just really was'nt the same, Messiah gave a "magick" to Candlemas, both stage wise and on cd, too bad he has such a Diva (Their words, not mine) attitude!

Whaaaa? 3IOB is true to metal and wonderful. Don't lump them in with trivium! They're a band I had no idea of until I sat down and listed to Advance and Vanquish and loved it - if you don't like power metal I can understand avoiding it, but they're not a Hot Topic band

My only experience with 3IOB is on the Brutal Legend game, I had no problems with it, sounded good for what it was. Trivium I can't take seriously at all.

I'd like to third or fourth the Black metal as well!

Bring on some Melodic Death Metal Too!

The only band from Seattle I would except on this cruise is if Kurt Cobain rose from the dead and fronted a Nirvana reunion as a zombie.
Wolves in the Throne Room, is an exception to that but I think they are from Olympia anyways.

My favourite band is system of a down, but i like all "genres"- therefore it will be a trip of my lifetime. See you all, Love, Billy

I'm sure most if not all the genres have been posted already, but for the sake of participating and making a first post for myself, here's a list of what I'd love to see.

    Power Metal
    Pirate Metal
    Folk Metal
    Melodic Death Metal
    Melodic Doom Metal
    Progressive Metal
    Progressive Power Metal
    Symphonic Metal
    Symphonic Black Metal

Pretty much anything out of Europe, but I'm happy already with just having metal on cruise ship.
    Should be loads of fun.

There's a few bands i have come to my conclusion that will be on this cruise.

i agree with all the other power, death and thrash metal suggestions so far. no slipknot, down or any other shitty mainstream band please.

    my suggestions go for...

Nocturnal Rites - I maybe going to Progpower so irrelevant at this point
    Sabaton
    Dragonland
    Therion
    Keep Of Kalessin
    Immortal
    Kataklysm
    Hypocrisy
    Grand Magus
Hammerfall - Same as Nocturnal Rites
    Falconer
    Enslaved
    Edguy/Avantasia
    Samael
    Moonsorrow
    Novembers Doom
    Pathosray
    My Dying Bride

to name just a fews i can go on for days like i am sure most people can.
