all I will say on it futher is that I just personally do not care for that genre of metal (if you can call it that). It actually churns my stomach to listen to it.

Germany has a fest called "Keep it True". I really like that name. But then again, they also have the "DONG OPEN AIR" metal festival.

I like a few Unearth songs and they were great at Ozzfest 2004. Good live band. I like Clutch alot too, and Kyuss, QOTSA. And even the Deftones. But I hate Korn, Disturbed, Slipknot, Incubus, Crazy Town, Stinkin Park (Linkin), Limp Bisquick, etc and all that trendy FAKE b.s. out there.

    :)

Personally i despise all forms of nu - metal and metalcore and wish it was wiped from the face of the earth.
It's essentially metal for people who don't like metal.
I've given most of these bands chances and tried listening to it but i just can't tolerate it.
A lot of these bands write music for a target audience aged between about 14-18 which is further betrayed by the way they dress,Their lyrical themes and the way they act.Korn,Slipknot and Limp Bizkit being probably the main cuplrits who brought this musical abomination into the world.
The bands themselves are actually clueless about real metal and have a completly different vision of how the metal community is.

Woah! Someone else Likes Mago de Oz! They're pretty good, yeah :)

Sepultura, Andre Matos, Tuatha de Dannan and Angra would be good brazilian band options and Brujeria, god mexican one.

I know some people don't like it, but I think we could have have some industrial metal on board. It'd be quite interesting to have some other kinds of metal

Burzum would REALLY KICK ASS :headbanger:

    Toxic Holocaust could come, too

I agree. Any form of nu so called "metal" is absolutely atrocious and to me embarassing when such bands claim to be influenced by many greats of today and our past in metal. Here is a small excerpt from my blog found here http://bestialbekah.wordpress.com/ "Even some of the sub-categories of Metal are hard to consider “Metal” to me for simply the lack of influence and structure they seem to take from Metal as we know it." Ugh just doesn't do it for me. :|

You know, I actually wouldn't mind if Mago de Oz made the bill. I've always wanted to see them live, had tons of chances to in Mexico, but never was able to make it down for one reason or another.

I agree. I dont even know HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW in hell people consider shit like Crazy Town and Limp Bisquick metal at all.
As for Slipknot: Mushroomhead (personally not a fan of either, however:) was supposed to sign with RoadRunner records, they already had the whole "mask" idea. The guys at Roadrunner thought it'd be a great idea to take the mask persona and apply it to Slipknot. So for people that think Slipknot is all original, hardcore and dark because they wear masks, you can thank the Label for that. In my opinion, REAL metal bands don't need a Record Lable to come up with gimmicks to be successful.

oh, and has anyone thought of this:
Scorpions are on their 'farewell tour', and with Uli already signed up, we just need Herman & Michael onboard for an excellent Scorpions Family Reunion show.
    That would be memorable!

A cool band that should come is Warcry. They are a Melodic Power Metal, on the same track as Stratovarius, but sang in Spanish.

Yes I have thought of it and posted it on a comment on the cruises facebook page (and the scorpions fan page and their website forum)

I can just see it, Scorpions playing the Sun Deck (outside) Uli, Mattias and Rudolf jamming on "We'll Burn The Sky" :headbanger:

Really? Only reason I noted them was because they were the first Metal band I ever got into, so its basically nolstalgic reasons. I have their Live DVD and they look quite entertaining, except for Alexi's banter in between songs. But I don't know, i'd like to see them live at one point either way.

Manowar aren't gonna happen.Sorry to tell you bro.
Probably same with Iron Maiden for cost reasons.
As for W.A.S.P yeah they are cheap enough to book but the issue is that they will have to be with 2000 fans and as you know as much as i fucking love W.A.S.P Blackly Lawless is not a people person. He's been a dick to the fans and promoters and always will be.
