I dont like the majority of American festivals so I have high hopes for this one haha. Other than this, Progpower USA is the only one that has me somewhat interested.

What confuses me about the lists is that, this is a thread about genres, not bands. Couldn't those lists be shortened by simply replying to what the thread title is asking?
So far at least, 2011, 2012 & 2015 were enough for me

The title should be changed to "want to see MORE represented"... since a lot of genres are already represented ( most people here obviously are not too much into the nu-Metal/core stuff)

I remember reading some while back that they will go back to Scandinavia for sure, that might even take care of more Death and maybe some Black Metal (I could do without).

Some more Power and Prog would be nice. :shred:

Well Wrath, out of your list, I can comment on the following:

Agent Steel - Still very much active. Presently working on a new album with original vocalist John Cyriis, who just returned to the band last month after Bruce left. Entirely possible for them to perform, but does Cyriis still have the goods?

Attacker - Also still active, but not really sure what they're doing these days.

Nasty Savage - Nasty Ronnie is still smashing TV's over his own head to my knowledge. At least he was the last time I saw them 6 years ago

Mean Streak - Man, that band is long gone. The only way they would reform would be for shits and giggles. Considering that three of them are married to three of the guys from Dream Theater, they don't have to work again

The rest you listed, I think you would just have to Google and see for yourself.

It's a bit upsetting to me to see people bashing some genres. I find myself to be pretty open to music. Not only in metal, but other genres as well (except rap lol)
It saddens me to hear people say they hate metal and aren't open minded. But some people saying they hate bands like Trivium, 3 Inches of Blood, and others is a bit disappointing IMO (granted some bands aren't QUITE gonna fit in)
I'll listen to Testament then go right to Bleeding Through.
I was thinking this was a huge metal cruise ship, but it seems some people aren't open to ALL metal, just certain sub-genres (but alas, every has their opinions and I respect them)
I'm just happy to go on a cruise AND see metal. What more can I ask for? :D

Well I can't really get bands on here. Not my decision who shows up. lol
And I'm not trying to get Slipknot and Korn here haha
Just saying it seems everyone sticks to a couple of subgenres and that's all.
Don't get me wrong, I love me some Amon Amarth, Saxon, Sonata Arctica, etc
Just seems everyone gets really serious about it too which I'm sorry but I find pretty funny lol
I just wanna hear some metal and rock the f*ck out

I'm a power fag at heart, so the more bands with proper melodic singing, the better for me! Anything power, traditional, folk, symphonic, epic, prog, doom, speed, etc etc is good by me.

To be more specific, I'd like to see:
Blind Guardian (would shit bricks if this happened)
    Angra
    Rhapsody
    Helloween
    Symphony X
    Solstice
    Hammerfall
    Anubis Gate
    Tyr
    Sex Machineguns
    Manilla Road

I could go on forever but I've already said too much.

Okay that is true. It did seem like I was speaking for everyone and I do apologize for that.
I guess I should have said MOST people haha
But yes, we are here for the experience. I rarely get excited about things, but I continue to think about the cruise everyday :)
I have always felt metal has been very open to people. It's a fun genre and metalheads are awesome. People who love metal relate SO much better with each other than any other genre. If two people who like the same band meet, they get kinda excited and can talk on and on about that band, something I never see with anyone else.
I'm kinda blabbing on but I'm just excited. I don't get to meet many people who enjoy metal like I do, so to think I'm gonna be with almost 2000 metalheads is quite a nice thought haha :P

Some people are more particular than others. I never understand people who think "Black Metal is Supreme to any other subgenre of Metal" or "Metal should never had keyboards in it". But... it doesn't mean we don't all have our favorites who we can always keep hoping for. I think most people on this Forum are pretty laid back people, with the select few Elitists. That being said; I also cannot wait to do some of this:  and LOTS of this: :headbanger:

Hmmm...I may be needing to have some chiropractic/massage therapy treatments set up for my return home. Four straight days of headbanging really does a number on you.

Yes it does I have been out of sorts for a couple of days after a concert or two. But its the price I am willing to pay for a great time and a memory that will be with me for life.

Trivium & 3 inches of pud arn't a sub genre they are in the wanabe genre. trying to ride the under belly of bands that have paved the way. They didn't pay there dues! i remember having to fight for all the shit they got handded to them off the work of great bands. I'm not in know means telling anyone what they should listen too ...nevermind i had a bad day and this could go somwhere i don't want it too.
But i'd still rather jack off with a cheese grater than sit threw a Trivium set!
BANG THE HEAD THAT DOES NOT BANG!

I'll take rhythm guitar and co-lyricist...

I think we have more than enough meandering neurotics around here to compile a nice 12 piece ensemble at least
