BTW I am a HUGE Turisas fan!! I'll be bringing extra facepaint for anyone who may need it- I would paint the entire crowd if I could :D

    Where is the paintingroom ?

We also want to be painted, especially when Powerwolf comes !

Cruise needs more folk metal. I've seen Ensiferum quite a few times and I'm just not much of a Turisas fan. Give me Equilibrium! :shred:

I run a Turisas Fan group on G+ https://plus.google.com/u/0/b/105354213 ... 3509/posts and my friend Nikky and I will be hanging out before both concerts wherever they are and we will be painting faces :) I'm also looking to get the Turisas fans together at the beginning of the cruise for drinks- Tenative plans are to meet at the Mast Bar before and/or after they do the safety drills (if any veterans have a better idea or feel for where to meet up I'm all ears). If anyone wants to join us you are welcome, we already have a small group growing that are planning to meet. You can email me (Pamela@TurisasFans.com) if you want to be in the loop to any changes or developments- (a lot of us are getting into Miami Saturday so we may do something pre-cruise too) :)

I'll be in Miami since the Friday and will stay at the Holiday Inn Port of Miami. As I can't walk on a long distance, maybe you could come to join me in my hotel's bar or eventually a bar near of my hotel. Well, don't know what bars or restaurant are in the area. You can email me at fiorella.clerc@citycable.ch Looking forward to meet Turisas fans :bangers:

Doing my best to be there for 2015.

The folk crew will be awesome because I will be chasing you all with warpaint... also adding a partially psychotic rabbit to any mix makes things more awesome.

WELCOME EVERYONE I MISSED!!! (Look for me. Give me hugs.)

Been lurking for a while, just getting around to starting posting and figure I should probably get this out of the way :)

    City/country:
    Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada

    Age (optional):
    26

What first got you into metal?
My parents. When they weren't listening to country (thankfully, that trait didn't wear off on me!), my dad was listening to KISS and my mom was listening to Rush and Trooper. Then when I was working at my first job, my carpool buddy listened to metal pretty much exclusively.

    Play any instruments?
Not at all. I tried to learn bass, but...no. Just no

    Top 5 bands?
    Iron Maiden
    Turisas
    Rush
    Ex Deo
Cradle of Filth (hated by most, but they'll always hold a special place in my heart for being my first true metal love)

    What do you do?
I'm a customs broker. I don't get to play with guns at the border or anything, but I do get to take sadistic joy in charging people duty and taxes

    What deck are you on?
    2

What's a creepy thing I can say when I see you that no stranger should know and will weird you out that I do?
I rather shamefully have a few Pussycat Dolls songs on my ipod. Sometimes a metal girl's gotta shake her metal ass :)

When I was 19-years-old I decided to get a "Nymphetamine" tramp stamp tattoo. It was a rather large error in judgement. Rethink that statement, sir

    Welcome Emily

I 'm also a fan of Cradle of Filth. :metalguy:
I had the chance when they were not popular to have a dinner with them in a café where they do also small concerts and it was great.
But now it will be impossible because Dany is not a gentleman.
Funny also to see all people fans of Turisas.

    Thanks for the welcome, guys!

I'm far too lazy to quote everyone I'm replying to, so I'm going to lump this all into one. I've also had the...pleasure? of meeting the guys from Cradle (meet and greet before a show and hanging out the bar afterwards). Paul and James were cool as hell, but Dani was a huge douche. To say he has "lead singer syndrome" is a bit of an understatement.

The tattoo wasn't the best idea. At the time I never expected to have children, and now I fear the day when my mini-metalhead asks me what it means

And Dan, I apologize in advance if you happen to come across me sitting below the pull down cot in tears because I'm too drunk to climb up to it :chug:

Mine too! In Edmonton as well but I was in grade 7 or 8 so it would've been a previous tour around 1979 or '80. Hot Shots had just come out I think. Did we discuss this ever? :?

Welcome Emily (again).. As for the tat..if you still like the music then you should have no regrets. :beerhorns:

...and oh, Trooper...wasn't a big fan of the music back in the 80's but when I saw them open for Nazareth 5-6 years ago I was really impressed with how much fun they seemed to be having. Is it odd that this thread seems to have lots of distain for Cradle of Filth and praise for Trooper?

    70K 2014 SURVIVOR (Cabin 2565)

Doing my best to be there for 2015.

    Age (optional):

What's a creepy thing I can say when I see you that no stranger should know and will weird you out that I do?
I rather shamefully have a few Pussycat Dolls songs on my ipod. Sometimes a metal girl's gotta shake her metal ass :)

Bud light for Evil Dan? Gross!!

I don't so much regret the tattoo as I wish I'd have gotten some artwork as opposed to the actual word (I'm more of a fan of my "Battle Metal" lyrics going down my side. No second thoughts there!). I do still enjoy Cradle, though. From what I've heard of the new album, it seems Dani's finally realized he just can't screech like he used to, which is nice. The last album sounded painful whenever he did it.

No, because Trooper is awesome

Well, I've been in the upper bunk before, so I know how it works. You can have your choice of bunks. Would be interesting if we got a double, like we did on the last 70K.

Yes, yes, bud light is gross. However, I can drink it 24 hours a day and not pass out, not vomit, and not get hungover. Better beer is more likely to have an adverse impact on my activity on the boat. :stagger:
Never take anything I say seriously.

Am I Evil? I am Dan. Yes, I am!

    Welcome Sheitan. :viking:

Pamela will be looking for you. She heads up a fangroup on G+, is webmistress of Turisasfans.com, and runs the US TVG Street Team. She is hell bent on gathering all the Turi-fans together in pre-cruise, and cruise events. I'm just the annoying side-kick.

I like to keep my being unladylike (read: vulgar and classless) as a bit of a mystery. While it would have been tempting, it would have taken all the fun out of people discovering that on their own
