You may also recognize me from the 70 Tons facebook page, i'm one of those people who comments on all the updates - despite never having actually attended the cruise before. Heh![]()
Name: Spencer, but Spence feels less "professional" or something.
Country: USA, although I also have dual citizenship. So i'm both American and Canadian. I live just two hours out of Boston, and frequent there often for concerts. :)
Age: 20 in June. Sadly if I end up going in 2015, I won't be able to legally drink. But hopefully that won't stop me having from fun.![]()

What got me into metal: Bit of a backstory. My brother Dylan is eight years older than me. So when I was about 7, he was about 15. He was SUPER into music, so naturally, I wanted to be too. He was into a bunch of different styles of music, but the one style of music that stuck out to me was power metal. So i'd steal his CDs when he was gone for weekends or whatever. So I was getting super into Blind Guardian, Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica, Nightwish, Gamma Ray and the like all when I was like 7 or 8. My first concert was Nightwish in 2004 in Worcester MA, when Tarja was still with the band. I was ten years old.![]()
The funny thing was I never realized it was "metal," I just NEVER thought in terms of genres. So when I was 13/14ish, I only then learned I was a "metal" fan and it was kind of odd because I had(at that point) assumed all the Bullet for my Valentine esque crap the scenekids at my school were listening to as metal. Haha
Also, here's this for silliness. My brother Dylan's "power metal phase" only lasted for about a halfyear when he was 15. I'm still into all those bands now, over a decade later. Whoops.
What do I do? Not a whole lot. Transitional phases and whatnot. I'm currently on disability for depression and anxiety, but i'm also trying to ease myself into the real world as well.
What deck am I on, I haven't ordered or found mates to go with yet. I mainly want to wait until at least a good dozen or so band announcements first.
Creepy fact. Start singing Shakira choruses at me, chances are I will kiss you and sing with you.
Welcome!
