Math metal = Meshuggah basically... and any bands that are heavily influenced and sound like Meshuggah.... i know some people hate sub genres.. but with how different metal sounds from one band to the next... subgenres are just natural to at least in some way explain the general sound of a band... .... no one person created them... they were organically created over time as a means of description. :)
