That actually works out. With 2000 people there is an average spend of $300 which I still think is really low :D With the $300 limit on the cash accounts, they probably thought it was a reasonable cutoff point

I think we can all put in a little more effort next year and aim for maybe $750,000... make the 70000 tons name proud!

i'm committed to do my part. nick and i didn't even spend $100 on booze, together, because we spent more than that on the pre-party alone...yikes. next year we'll spread it out and hopefully not get sick too!

hahahah wow, maybe we'd make cruise history at the million dollar mark for booze (especially if it's still only 4 days).

hey i have an idea, instead of making us leave the boat at a ROUGH 7-8am on the last day, let us stay on and drink and say our tearful goodbyes to everyone = Royal Caribbean, that means MORE MONEY FOR U!

Although I despised the idea and the majority of the following day, in the end rather liked that we were to be ejected early the next day. It forced people to put in an extra effort to stay up and get extra drunk. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if they sold more alcohol in the last night than any others because of it. It didn't help them much that they canceled my card at 5:30 that morning. I would have easily bought another $100 worth otherwise :D

Met a few of Andy's friends at Finntroll last night (confirmed that a normal cruise ship would sell about $20,000.00 in liquor - in our short time on the ship we accrued a collective liquor bill of $600,000.00  this is probably old news but I hadn't read any of the articles regarding statistics yet) and they said that because of our astronomical alcohol sales we were welcome back ANY TIME. As for crowds, we were EONS better than the kids they get for Spring break.

I actually find it hard to beleive, with over 2000 people that fit on the boat thats less than 10$ each. Are you sure it wasn't $200000 thats normal? That guy did say to me we drank 3 or 4 times that of a regular cruise not 30.

We are most certainly in for the next one. My wife and I were filled with emotion the day the cruise ended.. Not only seeing all those great bands, and hanging out with them, but meeting cool people from all over the world. Now, life sucks until the next cruise!
Always try to keep in mind...

OMG and no AA meetings.
I did read one of the reviews or forum posts somewhere last week (I get confused) and it was said that we drank more on the first day then what is sold on normal 7 day cruise.

That's what they told me. Keep in mind, we were NOT the average 2000 people you get on a cruise. Think how many more children, teenagers and elderly that you would find on a regular cruise? And for a lot of those families bringing small children or young teens - are they going to be getting loaded drunk every night? No. Are Honeymooners going to be leaving their cabins much? No (heh combine the usual elderly and honeymooners - regular cruises must just turn into a black market for viagra  ). Perhaps they had meant per night but that's what I was told.

I don't doubt that ours was that high, I am doubting that the normal cruise is so low. $10 bucks a person seems pretty low and there are some people on every cruise that drink $1000 bucks worth of booze. I'm still proud of what we've done

me too, but maybe they will take a time to do all the things:
1- find a bigger ship, or not
    2- find a new destiny
3- find the 10 first bands to announce
4- Plan all the logistc and contracts

Besides this, probably the organizer took a 1 or 2 week to rest. I heard that he worked sunday to sunday last year for this cruise
