Uh, hehe - Scott - I have a short video of you during Kung Fu Fighting and it's actually quite awesome! We were both out there dancing to that song and I whipped out my flip-video I got for Christmas and got some brief, yet epic footage of you  - nothing embarassing at all! But, don't worry - it's not gonna show up on youtube since I have no clue how to upload video. ;)

As for me - I believe Anika (ragnaroks_roller) was taking video of me going pretty nuts  on the dance floor during Baby Got Back by Sir Mix a Lot (Kevin/Bentz karaoke) - lol!! Anika - I'd actually like to see it for laughs - maybe via pm - not youtube!!
...well, and then there was the "finntrolling" (Margie's term  ) during the deck Finntroll set - woah....  :trashdrink:

With this heavy drinking, I believe 4 days is enough.

...and no more bands. I had a hard time meeting people in between the bands, even though I somehow managed to do that. I would say 30 bands is just perfect.

I think they should keep the same bands or perhaps add some different ones but definately keep most of the same bands.

I can see some bands playing again next year.Especially Finntroll and Sabaton as they are great guys to drink and party with.
I think they should keep to the same amount of days considering the cruise nearly ran out of booze adding a few extra days would cause problems. drunk metalhead are not agressive. But drunk metalheads when the ship runs out of booze?
    Things could get nasty

So unless they change to a different ship that typically runs 7 day jaunts, then we will likely see the exact same schedule again.

Well, then we cruise from monday to monday. Fine by me. :)

And I too think they should book some of the bands every year. Some regulars would be nice. Make it an even more familiar atmosphere.

you must have misread my post, the Majesty only runs a mid-week Monday to Friday (our itinerary) and weekend Friday to Monday. No such thing as Monday to Monday. And no way on the same bands, shit there are dozens and dozens of others that would be amazing to see.

I think 40 bands is a pretty solid limit for a set-up like this. Small and intimate is definitely the way to go. A longer run, 5-6 nights and 6-7 days, would be much better though. That would allow them to keep the set lists at about the same length while spacing them out a little more. I know that I was rushing around the boat trying to get from one show to the next because two of my favorite bands played one right after the other.

I'm also going to suggest scheduling the next cruise outside of the university school year. My girlfriend had to skip a week of class to get onto the boat, and that's not going to fly next year...I don't want to have to set sail without her.

Well the only school-free time is in the Summer and that is not going to happen. If that were the case 70K would be competing with dozens of European festivals. I guarantee it will continue to be in the Jan/Feb time frame.

I vote for the extra day or 2 maybe 50 bands . Meet and greet should be different maybe take a 2hr break each day from music and have them then. Merchandise there should be more i was hoping to purchase vinyl to get signed but they didnt have any. Of course the merch room should have been open longer. Maybe next year have a drinking chug contest. If we drank that much maybe the prices could actually stay the same for the rooms!!

I'd say 1 more night with no more bands or 2 more nights with more bands. Either would make me very happy, Andy and Allison may not have a choice though, they will have to work around other cruises around that time. Hopefully they can do everything that they want to, I think this year they did.

No, I think I read correctly. But why not combine both these itineraries? Wouldn't disrupt RC's schedule and 70k yould have a cruise on the Majesty from monday evening until monday morning the next week.

And yes, there are lots of other bands. But I still think it would be nice, if there were 2 or 3 bands that would return.

My only concern about more nights or bands is that it will make it more expensive than this year. Considering that the large majority of people had flight costs on top of it, I think they should try their best to keep it the same price. Or cheaper... :D

I do think that an extra day with same amount of bands is best because it will allow them to spread the bands out better, perhaps having only 1 band playing at a time eliminating any clashes.

It will be the same format next year. Everyone's speculation here is just that, speculation. The Monday to Friday itinerary is the ONLY one that works for 70,000 if they stay on the Majesty.

I say 1 more day, and maybe the same amount of bands or just 4 more (as there were 41 bands). It would give a little more time for things and to not have bands start say before 12pm.

I equate it to being pushed off a cliff in shopping cart, falling 600 feet into concrete, exploding and being set on fire and then waking up in a hospital still alive and remembering the entire ordeal and metal still imbedded into your ribs.

But that would have been a picnic instead of the emotional pain/withdrawal we had to endure

I have to agree with the early morning leaving and the feeling of being kicked off the boat plus I had the headache to prove it.

I have to agree. Small and intimate is what made this cruise great. I loved seeing all of these bands in a small venue type setting. It worked really well, if you add more dates and a larger ship you will lose the nice-ness of the event. Keep the exploitation of commercialism out of the cruise. One more day would have been nice.
