I really really really really hope that they are pursuing Immortal for next year, how bad ass would that be to see them play the pool deck?

It's because you get the most attention from the ladies on this forum of any of the dudes and Kevin's trying to justify himself by calling you a mimbo

Also, Jake's not here to defend himself; not that he would, he's proud of his sparkly music/hair

Okay, I'm too lazy to read all of the wishes before me, but I would love to see some of the bands return, not only because of their shows, but also just to party with, like someone before me already wrote.
Blackguard, Swashbuckle and Death Angel for the karaoke fun, Sonata Arctica, Blind Guardian, Sabaton (just to see if Joakim wears his Lady Gaga shirt again), Ensiferum and Gamma Ray.

    And then some more wishes:
    - Summoning (although that will never happen, I know)
    - Ayreon/Star One
    - Avantasia/Edguy
    - Alestorm
    - Turisas
    - Hardcore Superstar
    - Crashdïet
    - Crucified Barbara
    - Nightwish (since their new album should be released somewhere around that time I hope)
    - Amorphis
    - Orden Ogan
    - Apocalyptica
    - Eisbrecher
    - Orphaned Land
    - MAMBO KURT just to get the party started :D

Once I've posted this I'll probably come up with many more I didn't think about but for now if this list would come true that would be my personal metal heaven :D

Adding to my list waaaay back on page five, a few more have come to mind:

Accept (Who were quite exceptional when I saw them last week)

Hell (reunited NWOBHM band that's kicking all sorts of ass)

Crimson Glory (Their new singer is quite able in filling those big shoes left by Midnight)

Also, can some of you people stop naming bands that just played on THIS years cruise? It's not gonna happen. No Metal festival does consecutive repeats. For the 2013 cruise, maybe, but even then I kinda doubt it.

So my initial 2012 Wishlist had 40 bands, of which 4 (Therion, Stratovarius, Grave Digger, Eluveitie) have been added.

    4/7 - not a bad strike rate!

So trimming my wishlist down to 33:

    Accept
    Apocalyptica
    Arch Enemy
    Avantasia
    Believer
    Benedictum
    Delain
    Cage
    Edguy
    Galactic Cowboys
    Helloween
    Kamelot
    King's X
    Lacuna Coil
    Leaves' Eyes
    Living Sacrifice
    LORD
    MAGNUM
    Mayan
    Midnattsol
    Nightwish
    Poisonblack
    Primal Fear
    ReVamp
    Sons of Liberty
    Sons of Seasons
    Soul Embraced
    Symfonia
    Tarot
    Ten
    Thaurorod
    Torniquet
    Within Temptation

Some of those are EXTEMELY unlikely (For example, Torniquet, Believer, Living Sacrifice, Galactic Cowboys, Kings X, Lord, Ten, Magnum) but if even a quarter of those got added I'd be extreeeemely happy.

No matter how much thought I put into it, I really can't come up with a list that satisfies me, with just 40 bands.

However, one band I know for certain I would love to see... Eternal Tears of Sorrow. *crossing fingers*

Yeah, I was there. We proclaimed that it was to be the "least metal thing he was allowed to do all week" but I'm sure he lowered the bar even more when my back was turned.

Dear my generation of male metal heads: WTF
I also don't understand why 90% of modern "metal" fans are content to listen to oversaturated, hyper-compressed, souless walls of noise with lung-hacking "singers" coupled with indiscernable riffs and migrane-inducing blastbeats. I mean, come on. If you're going to talk death metal, at least talk about awesome bands like Necros Christos that actually sound monolithic, crushing and evil to the supreme. or Atheist, that actually retain a level of ferocity and malice among their quirky and genre-leaping moments. I'm tired of bands that sound like calisthenics routines instead of writing, you know, actual songs with concepts. Same thing goes for black metal, prog metal, the whole shebang

I think Kevin probably gets what I'm talking about.

And also, if this constitutes "weenie" metal, then fuck it. No ass-grabbing for you. ;)

Don't be such a vagina. I'm just busting balls, why is Kevin allowed to do that and not me?

I got used to power metal growing up, my little brother used to live and breathe it. When on the occasion that we were on good terms we would swap cds, back when I was 14 or 15 I actually listened to almost all of the Rhapsody cds in order - thought the continuing story was kind of cool but not really my cup of tea and never pursued it. Same went for Iced Earth and Blind Guardian back then. I was really really into thrash at the time and just getting into death metal. I don't judge you boys THAT much for it, just busting balls :D

    Although win for Biervulf
