What shirts have you already planned?

    by 1metal1 » Sat Apr 03, 2010 9:34 am

Ok, I KNOW that virtually each and every one of you has already planned some of the shirts that you'll be sporting on the cruise. Let's narrow the list to 1 shirt each day (so the collectors don't list their entire collection). Shirts subject to change as future bands are announced! :D

    1. Pretty Maids "Jump the Gun"
    2. Morgana Lefay "Maleficium"
    3. To be determined at a later date

Ripping Corpse- Dreaming with the Dead
Pungent Stench - Been Caught Buttering
Morbid Angel - Altars of Madness
    Entombed - Left Hand Path
Autopsy - Acts of the Unspeakable
    Grave - US Tour 92

I'll probably bring some NY Yankees shirts as well as a few Disney button down ones if I need to look presentable. :D

Are you guys serious with this? I don't even think the women around here are planning their outfits 10 months in advance. Personally I'll be planning which shirts to wear when I'm packing my bag for the trip.

It is defintely a slow day around here

Yeah, I haven't even think about what I am going to take with me. Not that I will figure it out when I'm packing... but it is really soon still!! :P
I don't owe bands shirts cuz I can never find one that fits me well, and the idea is to feel comfortable, right?? Plus, I like colours too much u.u"
I usually like to go with plain black shirts to shows, or other colours but plain. Although I was planning in taking with me a couple of corsets ;)
My cabinmate is DEFINITELY taking with her all corsets :headbanger:

I've just planned taking my skin. The rest will be decided on Jan 20th (when I board plane to Miami) :D

Yep, quite slow here. Holidays are dead everywhere.

Well considering that the ones I listed are the only ones I have remaining, it wasn't too hard for me to figure out. I had alot of them, but in the past couple of years I sold them to record stores or Ebay for a nice haul. I only kept the ones I liked.

I also plan on eating bananas/cereal on days 1 & 3, grapefruit only on day 4 and a tomato based dish for dinner on night 2.

Pretty much this. I have one skirt that I found at my folks' house and thought "hm, I could totally bring that on the metal cruise," and I'll probably also pack a swimsuit or two, but I haven't given it much thought beyond that. I'm not even sure what metal shirts I have left these days.
    4045... hopefully?

i know it is so "un-metal" but i don't wear band shirts unless i am working out, i don't know why. call it subliminal motivation. nevertheless i only own like 2 or 3. the only one i've ever worn while not lifting or running is my Kataklysm Crippled and Broken shirt. i might bring it other wise i'll be wearing plaid button ups.

Actually funnily enough a lot of elitist say you can't wear a bands tshirt to their gig
Also a lot of bands don't wear shirts of other bands because apprently it's bad for the bands image.
Some people have strange views about wearing band tshirts but at the end of the day a tshirt is just a tshirt.
Like i previously stated i will not make any plans of what i even bring with me to America.I'l just grab what clothes are clean and that'll do the job for me.

I always thought that was a common "Metal Rule of Thumb".

I personally don't think it matters either way. But I always found it trite, so I made sure to wear a different one. Heck I had enough of them, why not show 'em off.

I don't think there is a much better way for a band to advertise their merch then by wearing it themselves. Think about it. :givebeer:

I don't really think the shirts I have now will be even wearable on January, so it'd be kinda impossble to plan... But if there are two things I'm really sure about my packing, they are that I'll pack it in a hurry and badly and that I'll forget to take plenty of stuff.

It's NEVER too early to plan! C'mon everyone has those 1 or 2 shirts that they lock in for a big event like this. Guys, girls, or otherwise, many folks have those "must wear" shirts to sport. In my defense, I only have the first 2 chosen until I see more of what's announced. Cut a brother some slack! :death:

I usually make sure I cover the favourites, so I'll end up going with Iron Maiden, Van Halen, Guns N' Roses and Mr. Big. Maybe Tesla as well? I've probably missed some really obvious choices, but off the top of my head, those bands win!

Also got my Steve Vai, Paul Gilbert and Dimebag shirts. Respect the guitarists, as well as the bands!
