Out of 40 bands I'm sure all my different tastes will be dealt with. I'm just excited to see who signs up.

Good call! All of those bands would make me very happy indeed. I was just watching some Korpiklaani videos from the boat, and was feeling very nostalgic. And sad, cause they (among others) won't be onbroad in 2012. If the aforementioned bands were all there, it may make me feel better! :D

I would say there will be slim picking for the cheaper cabins but there may still be some available. No word yet on when the public sale starts.

Certainly an option, though I don't know if the name has to match the name on the promo code. Only one promo code is needed per cabin so there is potential for leftover codes.

Start thinking up some special favors to give out to whichever cruiser could give you a code

Of course, I'm just speculating. I would suggest calling the promoters tomorrow to find out what's allowed.

    I hope so.

So if anyone doesn't go please let me know if you want to give me your code. We can work something out. I will call tomorrow to ask if it is allowed.

First time i missed the cruise was out of my control. Really want to go.

    Thanks

It says that the code is non-transferable, so I don't think so. It sounds like the person who makes the booking has to be a veteran. I'm so glad I know someone here in Alaska that went this year and got the code! We got our room and IM SO EXCITED!

Ah, that would do it. Looks like it has to be a veteran booking then. Juggernaut, I would suggest that you try finding a veteran that needs cabinmates. Hope to see you on broad

The mail says good for one booking (single ticket or private cabin). We're looking to come back with the same group of people as this year. Do you think we all need to book individually with our codes or should one of us booking with the code be enough, and then add the rest of us later? Anyone know?

good question - my cabin mate entered all three names/codes - I'm not that sure is the right way to go, because it reads "Lead Passenger"
I'll find out and let you know...

    Deck 9 for 2012.

I wish I could do a balcony suite. :( Maybe for the 2013 cruise.

    Eric

Hey Eric - speaking as someone that had a balcony suite on deck 10 this year - save your money and don't bother. Especially since the price has increased significantly this year!

The balcony was nice, but we barely used it. The close proximity to the pool deck and eateries was the only major advantage of the rooms on 10.

We're downgrading next cruise to a double on deck 8 - at least I hope we are! I think I may have fucked up my booking so I've emailed UMC just to confirm :P

So, Andy - one thing that would have been nice is an automatically generated "hey here is a confirmation of the details you just entered" or even a "preview to confirm" screen.

Just noticed that the interior N quad cabin ends up costing €666 per person. :death:
The -5% discount messes that up. In a good way luckily.

Do you think we all need to book individually with our codes or should one of us booking with the code be enough, and then add the rest of us later? Anyone know?

good question - my cabin mate entered all three names/codes - I'm not that sure is the right way to go, because it reads "Lead Passenger"
I'll find out and let you know...

now at home, I had the time to read the mail - and it's all written there: only ONE (the lead passenger) has to send in the promo code and reserve a cabin

Moving from a balcony on 10 in 2011, to a double on 8 in 2012.

Saving in Australian dollars, of $2,280 over 2011.

    I win.
