Being a beer lover from the states, I hate that our big world ambassador of beers is shit like budweiser and coors...absolute crap. We in the states do make great beer with all the micro-brews but unfortunately most of the world will never get a chance to hear of them let alone get to try them.

That being said, Sam Adams is about the best 'mainstream' american brew IMO.. but given that list, I suspect I will by drinking my fair share of the hard stuff as well

The worst part for me, is that being from Canada our beer is stronger and has a higher alcohol content...I am however quite excited to be able to go into a 7-11 or some other convenience store and buy booze.

US has great beers, but they cant compete with the corporate mcdonals equivalent beers... bud, coors, miller crap. The distribution system is stacked against small beers. I like arrogant bastard ale, believe its a California beer. Wonder what kinds of beers they will have in Cozumel.

i LOVE Deschuttes Black Butte porter! delicious. yeah the beer selection on cruises SUCK. i am a total beer snob, but will drink Sam Adams in a pinch. more likely, will have ol' faithful Vodka n sodas if i am to drink at all. i don't plan on being drunk much if at all - too much metal, too little time, and too many waves!

to put a stop to the endless speculation...

sure there may be a few variations (note the "Limited Offerings" blurb) from this menu, but I am betting we will see the same selection give or take 1 or 2.

This micro brew is in my hometown of Ft Worth Texas. They have seasonal and all year round beers, many different flavors. My band DISCARD THE WEAK were sponsored by them and they used to give us a couple of cases aweek. Good times, miss having the free stuff. I think they sell nationwide, don't think they will be on the boat though

That's a pretty generic beer list onboard. That sucks. That's the same shit you get anywhere and everywhere. The US has so many mecrobreweries and excellent craft beers, I'd love to see some of them get recognition. We aren't all Budweiser/Coors/Miller pisswater drinkers.

I'm not much of a beer drinker, but Czech beers are the ones I prefer. Granted, Urquell isn't my favorite among them but that doesn't make it bad. So I guess I'll be drinking that too.

As for being, more or less - on and off, a ticker on ratebeer, I actually found 7 beers and 2 non alcoholic beers on that list that I haven't rated yet, could notch up 9 more rates during the cruise then :)

 Another homebrewer. I actually just finished brewing my 5th batch today haha. Im still very new to homebrewing but its fun as hell to do. Since I have a limited budget and live in Florida I do need to ghetto rig a way to keep my fermentation temperature cooler than the 80+ degrees it usually is here. Right now im using a coca-cola drink holder full of water that I swap out gallon container ice cubes to keep it cool haha. It gets the job done though.

If youre game you, my girl(Daenerys on here), and I can hit up some of the beerhalls around here. Got two really good ones pretty close so you could throw a couple places to your ratings.

We are regulars at the Dunedin House of Beer (40 taps) and used to go to the Oldsmar Taphouse (40ish?) a lot. The Palm Harbor House of Beer has 50 taps but its a branchoff of the Dunedin HoB. The Brewgarden is nice too, but they dont have as many taps.
