+1 to this thread.

I prefer hard stuff but I assume it's hot there (for a Finn, anything above +25C is HOT), so beer would be great for now and then but I do not wanna drink piss sold in beer bottle but rather something with a taste. Czech is a good country start searching possibilities.

Aye! 'Twas the highlight of my beers on Canada Day. Wouldve had Canadian beers but:
1) Canada needs better beer
2) Canadians need to let me know which Canadian beers are good. My perception on the entire country rests on this. Y'all are weird enough by putting gravy on your french fries.

Also, since it was mentioned, as far as Weissbiers go, Erdinger is shit.

There's also a couple places in town (BSB, District) that have a DELICIOUS Black Pilsner on tap. Canada is all about Microbrews, they are everywhere and they are all delicious.

Decent but neither wowed me. Of the Unibroue beers I prefer Ephemere and I don't recall the Granville Island though Marlo and I tried one of their maple beers last night (after I kicked her ass at Buck Hunter - though the less we talk about the pool table the better) and we were severely disappointed.

Joey, Marlo has vowed to take me to a great poutine place next time I come up and I look forward to trying more local beers too.

I looked into it a bit more, the only Edelweiss I've had is the Snowfresh stuff. Didn't like it at all, I could drink one of them but after that I wanted to kill myself

See, I actually like the snowfresh quite a bit, but their Weissbier is super awesome.

I've been to Wurst a handful of times, and I can safely say I won't be going back for a while until their staff get a little more knowledgeable and my wallet swells up again! (SUPER EXPENSIVE! HOLY SHIT!).

We can definitely give 'er a go though! We should also try Craft, a new place that opened up down the street from me with 104 beers on tap.

If you are trying to get messed up.... drink hard alcohol and don't even waste time drinking beer. It's much more efficient dude. I think the beer they carry is more of a 'Royal Caribbean' thing and not up to the people who organize the cruise.

Anyways.... if I recall, you were EXTREMELY messed up for lots of the cruise, so I think you were doing fine with the so called 'watered-down' beer and don't see why they need to get stronger beer for ya when the stuff they had was working fine.

If you still really want different beer on it, I suggest writing to Royal Caribbean.

This topic was already discussed for the last cruise.

Truth is, that we have only a very limited influence on what the cruise line offers for beverages.

We can make suggestions, but they run the bars and will make their own (business) decision in the end.

It is an obvious problem. They may try to offer a selected number of specialty beers from some microbreweries or whatever, prices for those will be higher of course. Some people that are willing to pay more for such specialty beers may try the through, many will not like them because tastes are different and even the bulk of the beer-drinkers will eventually switch to the cheaper stuff after their 3rd or 4th one. That's what unfortunately happens most of the time. So the cruise line would risk being stuck with a stock of expensive beers that they will find rather hard to sell on cruises following ours, because normal cruise guests are not really the beer-drinking crowd... There you have it. They will make a business decision in the end.

They also argue that they already have the broadest beer-selection of all cruise lines.

I will bring this issue once more forward the next time I am meeting with them and we will see what can be done.
