Are you on 70000tons 2012 ship and play in a band?

    by rockhound » Thu Aug 18, 2011 5:43 am

I guess we will travel with much many bands that the 40 that will play on board, and I'm sure that you would like some promotion, so here it is the right place. I got this idea as I already find a band I like reading a signature.
You don't have to play in a metal band to write here, most of us like all kind of music.
I can't start as I don't play myself, but you can fill this:

    My band:

    I play/sing:

    type of music
    :

link to my band (web page, facebook, myspace, youtube or whatever you have)
    :

I don't know if it's forbidden for passengers to sell in the ship, but if you can bring CD, DVD, shirts, or anything for sale here is the place to tell us (you can always sell them before we board or after the trip):

It is forbidden to sell merchandise of any sort on the ship regardless of whether you are a booked band or not. Although you can do it if you don't get caught :D

Btw, I do have music and a band in the works but nothing established yet. Trying to finish of some tracks first and then start searching for people.

Surprise, surprise the style is a mix of power metal and heavy metal.

Can bands just walk around any club and sell their merch without giving 33% to the house? Same thing on the cruise.

It's like going to a Vegas hotel and setting up your own poker game in their lobby

There were t-shirts being discretely sold beside the hot tubs on the pool deck, i'll not say by whom.
I myself currently play guitar in semi hibernating heavy / thrash band Viocosis ( currently on target to take longer to record an album than Anthrax )
and also in a Slayer tribute band.
I'd guess quite a few forumites have dabbled in bands at some time

I play/sing: Guitar, lead vox, shitty keyboards

type of music: Asshole Metal Dildos

    I play/sing: Bass

    type of music: metal/hardcore

My Band #3, 4, 5, etc. : I have lots of "stuff" going on. I know for sure that 2 members of different bands were selling/giving away copies of their side bands. I know a few here got copies of one of those.

No. All of the bands playing officially on the cruise sell their merch with the 70k stuff (as long as they bring their stuff).

Mike wanted to buy a Marduk shirt last year, and Marduk didn't bring any shit to sell (because they have to pay money to ship their boxes in). I think just about all of the other bands did have stuff to sell though.

oohh! I have checked out Sinister Realm before in the past, some pretty cool tunes like Demon Seed and The Crystal Eye. Cool stuff for sure, not too slow and doomy, but clearly shows the influence!
