I would say RAGE, because I could watch Smolski shred that axe all day, but my heart is trapped somewhere between Ensiferum and Tyr; both bands I have seen many times before... but they just have the right type of FUN attitude that I felt represented the whole feeling of elation of the cruise itself for me.

They both played two stellar sets, by the way. Sunburned the hell out of my face and neck to both of them on the pool deck while having a great time in the sun, and was hammered out of my tree, headbanging like a madman for their interior shows (both of which were superior setlists).

Their pool deck set was so cool with a cool wind blowing during the night and I think it got a little misty then too. Great setting for Moonspell. Granted, musically Wolfheart (which they played in the indoor set) is their best work in my opinion but the whole atmosphere of the outdoor set (plus great tunes!) was magical.

I think I'm the only one so far who has gone for Moonspell. And I must agree with you, Wolfheart is my favourite album. Wolfshade, what a damn good song! And they played the entire album? Wow, that would have been awesome! I wished I was there for that. Sounds like a great setting too, I hope My Dying Bride gets a similar setting out on the pool deck, if they were to play on the pool deck at all that is, and in the evening. That would be fantastic.

You even typed them in my order of preference as well! Those would be my top three that I would want back too :bangers:

Destruction...only because I missed them on the first cruise. Their first show conflicted with someone else I wanted to see and I promised myself I would catch their second show which was at something like 3:30 in the morning...well, I went to take a short nap and don't even remember my alarm going off so I missed them.

Tough call between Uli Jon Roth and Raven, but since I got to see UJR both times and Raven only once, I'll go with the Athletic Rockers, RAVEN!

That's the idea, having fun and see which is the band other cruisers want to see.

Is interesting the good work that UMC did in the 2011 selection as 16 different bands of the 42 that played were selected as preference to play again in just 26 votes. :viking:

Unleashed. Especially considering they didn't play with their proper line-up this previous cruise.

1st pick would be Trouble, but only if they could get Eric back and throw Kory to the sharks... won't happen so...

2nd pick would be Death Angel but I've seen them a fair number of times in recent years

3rd would be Testament but, again, I've seen plenty of them in recent years and they'll be hard at work on the new album I suspect

4th would be Saxon but I really got my fill of 'em in 2 amazing sets last time around and doubt I could get 'em to do Crusader in its entirety

5th would be Raven but, yes again, 3 sets in a short time span really filled my quota for a while

6th would have to be Forbidden but yeah, I've been spoiled haven't I? ;)

7th would have been Destruction but I caught them again here in Vancouver around the time of the hockey playoffs so I'm good there for a while yet too

8th through 13th would be Obituary, Nevermore, Sanctuary, Exodus, Sodom and Agent Steel but, bottom line is the only one I really feel compelled to vote for is the mighty, the legendary...

So far at least, 2011, 2012 & 2015 were enough for me

The only band I saw in your top 14 list last year on the boat was Nevermore. I was watching Sanctuary up in the Viking Lounge, but totally fell asleep during their set.

the only one i'd agree with is Sodom, due to their rarity in the states and how much they RULE live. i did like Agent Steel too but i feel seeing both their sets was sufficient for now.

Andy, feel free to call Kevin's bluff here  But only if it means we get more than 40 bands again. I'd hate to waste a perfectly good roster spot on them.
