UMC - Please give us Pre-order T-Shirts for 2012

In order to make sure everyone gets a T-shirt and in the size they want; please give us a pre-order option for t-shirts for 2012.

You can place the designs in the store on the main site: plus any other merch like bandanas, patches, stickers, 70k ToM/RC bath robes, well you get the point

This will also save you on printing shirts in sizes that will be hard to sell.
It will allow us not to miss bands while standing in a line for 2 hours and finding the shirt we want isn't there.
It helps the crew from having to deal with us ...ha ha

We order the shirts and UMC can have them delivered to our cabins, either before we get there or sometime while we are out to sea.

It truly is a win win for all.

I know this has been suggested a couple times but I thought I'd throw it out there in it's own to make sure you see this.

This would be great if they can get it all worked out with the Royal Caribbean folks.

I was able to get the shirts I wanted, but it was a huge clusterfuck. Anything to make the merch experience run smoother would be greatly appreciated.

It is such a fantastic idea that makes so much sense. They'd be foolish not to take this offer. I was one of the lucky ones on broad I guess. I randomly walked by the spot where all the random duty free stuff was being sold and there were a couple 70K shirts sitting there. I bought one with absolutely zero wait and they had my size.

Please, UMC, do this. For everyone's happiness. It's not like RC doesn't know how to deliver stuff to cabins.

If I were running a business and people were begging to give me money... I'd definitely get on top of it with all haste. That being said, I have to imagine UMC is trying but something is hindering them...

usually it's legal issues and copyright laws that hinder marketing from what I gather .... but I could be wrong

Brilliant idea..please make this happen UMC, charge it to our rooms or accounts or whatever...then everyone can relax, enjoy the bands and not have to worry about not getting a shirt.

Actually they did that in the MDF, anyone attending couId buy a shirt or a hoodie on-line in advance and then just pick them up at the venue's stand. UMC don't have to display the details of the shirt (bands list) so there would be no worries about telling if they know or not the bands names. However, since this would be open to the public, we would need a veteran advance code or use the paid reservation code in order to get priorities on the sale.

Hope UMC take your idea into account.

at least they shuld ensure that there will be enough t-shirts for every ticket, I can´t imagine someone in the cruise not buying one

Nah. Royal Caribbean does stateroom delivery all the time. Buy something in the duty free shops and they deliver it to you (at least for alcohol). It really shouldn't take too much effort on their part for this.

Yeah this is a genius idea, which has been raised in other threads - but to put it out there like this is far more likely to grab UMC's attention.

Pre-ordered shirts, waiting for us when we check into our cabins would be GREAT.

Maybe even something a little extra for veterans? Even if it was a lanyard to carry our access cards around on - would build a lot of goodwill.

as long as i can preorder multiple shirts in advance i would be totally down for this cause i would need 1 for my wall then 1 tshirt to wear and a hoodie for winter cause well i live in Canada. if they sent me the bill tonight the money would be in their account by 7am tomorrow

I really like this idea as well. And it would even be fine if you could pre-order, then go to a table to pick up your order, if RC isn't being accommodating.

EDIT: Good point, Kevin. I always leave every festival (Mayhem, Ozzfest, etc.) with a large bag of swag from sponsors with CDs, mags, etc.

If UMC had time to print the shirts with the band names on them last year, they should this year. they'll just ALREADY have the money for them sooner, and we'll get the size we want without the burden of a huge line, where the staff is busy enough just selling band merch, AND we're missing bands, AND we're missing opportunities to spend money on booze or whatever. it's a WIN WIN WIN for UMC to do this.

I agree. The one with the guy was much worse, in my opinion. The back lists the bands and the cruise dates and locations, as well as asking "What the hell did you do this winter?"

They definitely could give us a basic design saying that they will put the bands on the back with some mock ups to show what it may look like (the font, size of back design, etc.) and let us preorder. Then by cruise time they should be fully made and ready to deliver to our cabins.
