Pick 3 bands from 2011 for 2012.

I know that some of you are vehemently against repeats but thought this would be a fun game. You can only pick three bands from the 2011 cruise to welcome back for 2012. I added the "in its entirety for giggles, not required"

In no order-

1. Amon Amarth (Playing Once in the Golden Hall and Sutur Rising in its entirety)
2. Testament (Playing Practice what you Preach and The Gathering in its entirety)
3. Obituary (Playing Slowly we Rot and Cause of Death in its entirety)

1. Amon Amarth ( With Oden on our Side and Twilight of the Thunder God )

2. Finntroll ( no albums in particular just think they would be fun too see )
3. Blackguard ( same reason i put them in every other list .... to see everyone else melt down in a blind rage )

1. Iced Earth - They were awesome, pure and simple.
2. Nevermore - We won't see Nevermore the same again.
3. Unleashed - We missed Johnny.

It's excruciating for me to vote these over Amon Amarth, Moonspell, and Marduk, amongst others but there are good reasons for voting in those three.

great lists. I was gonna say Iced Earth as they were one of my faves but I thought Matt quit again. for me, HE IS ICED EARTH

Also Saxon gets a honorable mention as both their sets were awesome for me.

Man i gotta stick to small festivals to see the bands i like.

the 1st 20 bands announced for 2013 will be bands Metalwrath hates... he'll feel vindicated. Then Andy will announce 20 bands Metalwrath loves, just to spite him

1. Tyr -- They put on the best single set IMO (at their Spectrum show) and have a new, incredible album from which to draw material. Would love to see a 1:15-1:30 set.

2. Sabaton --They were a fuckin' blast.

3. Korpiklaani -- Same reason as Sabaton. And I like happy music.

Next two are Swashbuckle and Moonspell.

Wouldn't make a difference.I plan to start online courses or night classes next year anyway.Won't have the kind of money to just throw around for a cruise with a generic metal festival lineup.
Next yeasr will be for the fun.The lineup is as boring as fuck.Even for a European metal festival that lineup would be unaceptable.
Maybe it's because Europe has a much better metal scene or maybe it's because my metal taste isa so diverse from the usual festival bands.
I dunno but doesn't mater.next year is my last cruise unless they can compete with much cheaper festivals like Keep it true,Swordbrothers,Metal Assault,Bang your head,Headbangers open air etc.
I'm not faulting the organisers.Just me and the general 70k metal cruise have completly different taste
Unfortunaly i am one of those metalheads who has a mind stuck in the 80's

Blind Guardian, Gamma Ray, and Marduk. Those are the main bands that I like that I haven't seen live before. Honorable mention to Finntroll.

Nevermore (Their pool deck show was one of the best shows of 2011. Will have to reunite though.)

Amon Amarth (Even though hailing from my hometown, I must say they always put up a good show.)

Death Angel (I was planning on seeing both sets in full, but ended up seeing only 30 minutes of each set.)

Tough decisions.

How did I know?

1) Blind Guardian - Their shows on broad were the best for me.
2) Sabaton - The band that got most into the fun of the cruise setting. The pool dive was the iconic moment of the first one for me.
