    Restaurant Options and Hours

    by mooyagi » Wed Jan 04, 2012 3:34 pm

Okay, so some of us have been derailing the running order thread with questions about the food options on broad. As part of the running order, I would like to factor in time to eat and I'd love to see what my options are at the time I'd like to have breakfast/lunch/dinner/snacktime. So far this is what we have:

    Starlight Dining Room (Deck 4):
The main dining room. Multi-course fancy pants meal.
    Breakfast: 07:30 - 09:30
    Lunch: 12:00 - 14:00
    Dinner 1: 18:15
    Dinner 2: 20:30

    Moonlight Dining Room (Deck 3):
Operation questionable for the 2012 cruise as it will be acting as the merch shop and meet and greet spot
    Breakfast: 07:30 - 09:30
    Lunch: 12:00 - 14:00
    Dinner 1: 18:15
    Dinner 2: 20:30

    Sorrento's Pizza (Deck 12):
    Pizza, duh.
    Open late

    Windjammer Cafe (Deck 11):
    Buffet
    Continental Breakfast: 06:30 - 07:30
    Buffet Breakfast: 07:30 - 10:30
    Lunch: 12:00 - 14:00
    Afternoon Tea and Snacks: 16:00 - 17:00
    Dinner: 18:00 - 21:00

    Compass Deli (Deck 12):
Paninis, quesadillas, wraps, sandwiches, crepes, salads

    Johnny Rocket's (Deck 12):
Burgers, chili dogs, fries. A fee of $4.95 USD applies per dining guest. Soda, bottled water and milk shakes are offered at current menu prices.
    11:30 - 13:00

    Cafe Latte-Tudes (Deck 5):
    Coffee and pastries

Pool Deck Food Spread (Pool Deck):
    Assortment of snacks
    Estimated around midnight each night

    Room Service (Your Cabin):
    24 hours
Late night charge of $5.00 from midnight to 05:00

As for hours of operation, here's what I found for the Moonlight and Starlight Dining Rooms

I'm sure the rules are a bit different for 70K (especially for dinner). Well, I know there is no dress code

    http://cruiseadvice.org/CruiseShips/MainDiningRoom.aspx?ShipName=majesty+of+the+seas

    Breakfast: 07:30 - 09:30
    Lunch: 12:00 - 14:00
    Dinner 1: 18:15
    Dinner 2: 20:30

Does anyone else recall the hours for any of the other places? Also, room service is available for the cabins. I'm thinking about ordering that for the morning we leave. That way I have breakfast waiting for me while I pack up.

As long as they have fried snackies on the pool deck like the third or last night last year, then I'll be happy. That pizza line was too damn long.

Is Johnny Rockets really good or something, is it worth paying for? I don't understand why thats the only place that charges for food.

It's decent. It's burgers. Johnny Rocket's is a chain here in the US. 50's(?) style diner with singing employees. I enjoy it. There's one in South Beach too and that one has very large margaritas! I'm guessing maybe the cost is because they aren't operated directly by Royal Caribbean. Just a guess though.
