Got my cabinmate from last year to act as lead passenger, so now I'm 99.99999% going to be back :-) :-)

Just don't have the money now (paying two rents in two of the most expensive places to live in the country has been killing my bank account), but I'm done paying rent in Malibu this month and will have extra American dollar bucks to book come August. At least we'll secure a room.

Awesome. I might consider not renting a car this year. I use the metro rail from the airport in Baltimore for Maryland Deathfest, but had to rent a car last year because of all the things I wanted to do all over the Miami area.

Nice that they finally have a train that goes to MIA. I saw the construction already the last year. Unfortunately it only gets you to Miami, but nowhere near the beaches. Downtown Miami really sucks ass.

Dropping Off Our First Scouting Party

    by Andy » Thu Jul 05, 2012 8:38 pm

Yesterday, 70000TONS OF METAL, The World's Biggest Floating Heavy Metal Festival sailed across the Baltic Sea. After dropping off our first scouting party in Rostock, Germany today we immediately set sail again with course for the Øresund. Where will our next Port of Call be?

    http://www.metal-archives.com/search/ad ... ame=#bands

Metal Bands from Rostock according to Encylopaedia metallum. Don't know any of these so hopefully it is just a drop-off point for the scouting party and they are not actually picking up a band from Rostock.

But bands from Germany? How 'bout Accept, Avantasia, Van Canto, Sons of Seasons, Helloween, Powerwolf, Running Wild, Xandria, Unisonic....

Please go to Sweden, do not stop in Denmark, it would be a waste of time, there are no decent bands here

Withering Surface used to be quite cool, but unfortunately they don't exist anymore.

And I used to love Mercenary, but their last record doesn't quite do it anymore for me.

Yup, but except Svartsot, I don't like any of them ;)

Actually I wouldn't mind seeing DAD because they are a good live band and like Pretty Maids quite different from all the other bands that will be onbroad. But they should only do the old stuff of course :bangers:

Perhaps Denmark wants to borrow some Swedish bands for a bit, while the ship is close?

Yeah. We could swap some football players for some good bands :bangers:

If you book Volbeat while you're in Denmark, maybe that would be a way to get Metallica to come along.

Volbeat just shows how low the standard of the metal bands is in Denmark.

Svartsot is another band that has never written a bad song.

They're probably #3 on my wishlist (after Cain's Offering and Falconer) thus making them #1 most-likely.

No Volbeat for stach. Dare I say they are in a category (with some of the bands on the previous cruises)
that in my humble opinion are not metal at all.

^^^ I agree Volbeat are not very "metal." Maybe rockabilly rock/punk/metal?

Love them however! I was at this gig - they are a great band, especially if you like rockabilly or rockabilly crossover.

And I used to love Mercenary, but their last record doesn't quite do it anymore for me.

    Withering Surface were definitely good

Svartsot is another band that has never written a bad song.

They're probably #3 on my wishlist (after Cain's Offering and Falconer) thus making them #1 most-likely.

Well i think Falconer is extremly unlikely. They've been together since 1999 and played less than 40 gigs

I have seen at least 10 percent of their gigs then.

Love them however! I was at this gig - they are a great band, especially if you like rockabilly or rockabilly crossover.

I saw them open for Megadeth. I thought they good, but didn't blow me away or anything.

I don't like Volbeat's albums, but I've seen them live three times and all shows were actually very good.
